Job Title : Head of Production, Asia Pacific

Reports to : Managing Director (Australia)

Experience, Qualifications & Core skills
. Expertise in a similar working environment commensurate with your job title.

. Fluent in written and spoken English.

. Practical understanding of commercial production and operations.

. Excellent oral and written communications skills (English).

. Proficient in all components of Microsoft Office (Outlook, word-processing, power point and spreadsheets).

. Has demonstrated capability in managing, leading and mentoring large teams of diverse talents, including senior employees for 10+ years.

. Has proven ability in financial management of multiple programs of work within large organisations and across the region.

. Experience managing operations for a large production company in more than three continents with associated complexities.

. Capable of strategic thinking for both client and internal business requirements.

. Has a mindset of accountability for all aspect of business administration.

. 15 years + in communications industry, ideally within an advertising or communications agency.

. Deep understanding of creative development, design, media production and digital dissemination.

. Experience working with government/third sector clients.

. Experience working on social and behaviour change campaigns

. Experience operating in challenging markets with complex environments and limited infrastructure

. Knowledge and understanding of geo-political issues in the Asia-Pacific

. Experience in media in the Asia-Pacific including but not limited to media production and dissemination

Essential:

. Excellent communication skills to enable him/her to engage with senior stakeholders and to understand client requirements

. Sense of responsibility towards the organisation's reputation.

. Ability to work independently.

The Work:

.Be fully accountable for all financial input and outputs of the departments regional portfolio under their management.

. Be fully accountable for the output across the business, setting the ambition high and clearly establishing the long-term direction and parameters we are working to.

. Demonstrate excellent judgement and be able to balance the client needs with our creative ambition to ensure we are seen by our clients as a true creative partner and brand guardians.

. Be trusted to lead business development pitches and provide craft and industry knowledge and guidance to Business Directors as required.

. Sign off all client deliverables as a point of final sign-off before it goes to Managing Director.

. Ownership of business risk and ensuring relevant parties are accountable for the evaluation and processing of this risk.

The Agency:

. Be the driving force behind transformation -looking ahead for growth opportunities and ways to make the client and portfolios they work on work better.

. Be instrumental in shaping and supporting creative and production departments and ensuring your team members feel motivated and rewarded.

. Proactively work with the business leadership to help shape the direction of the regional team and business AI automation, image, video business offering in both Australian and Singapore.

Relationships:

. Be respected and trusted by both the strategic andcreative leads on the business to work as a triumvirate to set the long-term direction and drive it forward.

. Be able to anticipate the needs of the client and the business before they arise - think three steps ahead.

. Be able to have different and frank conversations, take responsibility if things aren't going to plan and guide the BusinessDirector to find a suitable solution to client.

. Have strong relationships with the command team and support function to devise effective ways of working and encourage mutually beneficial collaboration.

. Be a sounding board for your Business Directors and allow them the space to operate. Be approachable to all positions and make time for junior staff when you sense they need it.

. Proactively manage people capacity within your team, invest time nurturing and developing individuals and identifying new talent for team future proofing.

. Foster positive and productive working environment that supports team engagement, wellbeing, and client satisfaction.

Strategy:

. Be fully accountable for the long-term strategic direction in the development of employees to be AI enabled, leading all conversations at the highest levels, both internally and externally.

. Actively seek out wider industry knowledge and training and development opportunities to ensure they are equipped to understand complex business problems and recommend the right solutions.

Business Impact:

. Have responsibility and accountability for all resourcing, profitability, creative and delivery output across the business and be driven by an ambition for growth.

. Be responsible for all pastoral care for both creative and production team members, ensuring they are motivated, have clear paths for progression, tangible performance objectives, regular feedback and are both properly rewarded and happy. This also includes having tricky conversations where necessary around performance issues.

Be relied upon by the Global leadership team as the senior business lead who is fully accountable for all creative outputs that drive business outcomes.
