I'm supporting a fast-scaling global fintech that is building a next generation platform for small and medium enterprise merchants operating in physical retail environments. We are looking for a Head of Product to lead the full product vision, strategy, and execution for an integrated suite that spans in-store payments, merchant operations, marketing tools, financial services, and a modern B2B merchant app.
What you will lead
- Set the long term product direction for a global SME merchant platform, balancing regional needs with a scalable and unified product architecture.
- Manage and coach a multi discipline team of product managers across payments, terminal software, merchant app, financial products, and AI automation.
- Drive deep integration across hardware, payment rails, security frameworks, financial services, and intelligent decisioning systems to deliver seamless merchant experiences.
- Oversee compliance with major global standards such as EMV L3, ISO 8583, PCI requirements, and relevant local regulations. Partner closely with certification bodies, terminal providers, and security teams.
- Build deep understanding of merchant behavior through hands on research, field visits, and continuous feedback loops. Translate insights into simple and practical solutions that work for non technical merchant users.
- Define and own key product metrics including payment success rates, onboarding speed, transaction economics, app adoption, lending usage, and merchant retention.
- Work closely with regional commercial and partner teams to tailor the product offering while ensuring consistency across markets.
What you bring
- 10+ years of product management experience, including at least 5 years in a product leadership role within relevant fintech, payments, SaaS, or digital commerce.
- Background in one or more of the following areas:
- In store payment systems such as EMV, POS terminals, terminal software, or acquirer integration
- Merchant facing B2B or B2B2C platforms
- SME/SMB financial services including business accounts, credit, or scoring systems
- Strong technical fluency across payment flows, ISO 8583, HSM, PCI P2PE, EMV certification, APIs, and mobile app architecture.
- High empathy for offline merchants with diverse levels of digital literacy and experience conducting field research with SMBs.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin given regular interaction with Mandarin speaking cross functional teams and stakeholders
- Degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field. Advanced degree a plus.
