Job Description

ARE YOU SEEKING FOR GROWTH YET YOU WANT A FULFILLING CAREER

Be ready to embark on a journey which offers you an exciting opportunity.

HERE'S A SHORT INTRO OF WHO WE ARE

Since our incorporation in 2005, finexis has grown to become a leading homegrown financial advisory firm in Singapore licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, with assets under advisory of almost S$1 billion. Our strategic partnerships, extensive portfolio of leading financial solutions, strength of more than 1,000 financial consultants and support staff have enabled us to become a market leader in the field of specialised financial services.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Head of Product and Training is responsible for strengthening finexis advisory's advisory capability, product proposition and agency production. The role requires a commercially strong and advisory-minded individual who can understand client needs, assess suitable product solutions, identify practical advisory and sales positioning, and train the agency force to present solutions in a clear, responsible and client-centric manner. The role ensures that Financial Consultants are equipped with strong product knowledge, planning concepts, client engagement approaches and advisory tools to deliver suitable recommendations, enhance client conversations and achieve sustainable production growth. The individual must be able to bridge product knowledge with advisory execution — translating product features into client needs-based solutions, adviser training, sales narratives, campaign support and measurable business outcomes, while maintaining strong conduct and fair dealing standards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

A. Product Proposition and Advisory Positioning

  • Review approved product solutions and identify suitable advisory positioning by client needs and segments.
  • Translate product features into clear planning concepts, client propositions and adviser talking points.
  • Recommend solution focus areas that support client outcomes, adviser capability and sustainable business growth.
  • Work with product providers to understand product strengths, limitations, market positioning and support available.

B. Training and Agency Enablement

  • Design and deliver product, advisory and client engagement training for Financial Consultants and Organisation Leaders.
  • Simplify complex product concepts into practical and responsible client conversations.
  • Develop adviser tools such as case studies, presentation materials, objection-handling guides and advisory frameworks.
  • Identify field capability gaps and provide targeted training interventions.

C. Production and Business Growth Support

  • Support sustainable agency production through advisory-based campaigns, training initiatives and field engagement.
  • Work with distribution leaders to drive execution of approved strategic solution areas.
  • Monitor production trends, campaign outcomes, adviser participation and adoption rates.
  • Use data and field feedback to refine training, advisory positioning and campaign execution.

D. Governance and Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure product training, sales narratives and campaign materials are balanced, accurate and appropriate.
  • Work with Compliance and relevant stakeholders to ensure materials follow internal review processes.
  • Promote responsible advisory practices, suitability, fair dealing and strong conduct standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with product providers and internal stakeholders to support effective rollout.

Key Success Measures

  • Growth in sustainable agency production and approved strategic solution areas.
  • Improvement in adviser product knowledge, confidence and client engagement capability.
  • Effectiveness of training programmes, advisory campaigns and adviser tools.
  • Quality of execution across product launches, training rollouts and field initiatives.
  • Strong collaboration with agency leaders, product providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Alignment with compliance, conduct, suitability and fair dealing expectations.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Minimum 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in financial advisory, insurance, wealth management, product management, training or agency distribution.
  • Strong understanding of life insurance, investment, retirement, protection and wealth planning solutions.
  • Proven ability to train advisers, support agency leaders and drive field execution.
  • Strong commercial judgement with an advisory-led and client-centric mindset.
  • Ability to translate product knowledge into practical advisory positioning and sales narratives.
  • Strong presentation, stakeholder management, analytical and execution skills.
  • Good understanding of Singapore financial advisory conduct, suitability and fair dealing expectations.
  • Prior team management experience will be an advantage.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a commercially strong, field-oriented and advisory-minded leader who can connect product knowledge with client needs, adviser capability and business growth. The individual should be hands-on, confident in engaging agency leaders, comfortable working with product providers, and able to drive execution across product initiatives, training programmes and advisory campaigns.
