Introduction
A leading engineering and technology organization is seeking a Platform & Architecture Lead (AVP / Senior Manager) in Singapore to shape the architecture and modernization of its Engineering and Development technology environment. This is a senior technology leadership role spanning cloud platforms, DevSecOps, enterprise infrastructure and networks, and OT/IoT environments, with responsibility for establishing architectural direction, strengthening governance, and driving the transition toward secure, scalable, and highly automated platforms.
Responsibilities
You will lead the architecture and platform strategy across AWS, DevSecOps, physical networks, and OT/IoT, establishing target-state designs and ensuring new technologies and integrations align with enterprise architecture and security standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and vendors, you will lead architectural reviews, guide technology selection, and develop modernization roadmaps for existing platforms.
A key part of the role will be driving technology transformation and adoption of security-by-design, automation-first, and modern platform engineering practices. You will oversee the evolution of AWS and hybrid infrastructure, network architecture and segmentation, secure landing zones, and resilient connectivity while guiding project teams through platform onboarding. You will also shape DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, automated security controls, Infrastructure as Code, containers, and deployment automation, and provide architectural direction for secure IT/OT integration and IoT platforms.
You will contribute to technology planning, budgeting, platform roadmaps, risk management, and executive reporting. You will also provide technical leadership to engineers and project teams and act as an escalation point for key technology and vendor matters.
Requirements
You should bring substantial experience in infrastructure, cloud or platform architecture, with the ability to operate at both strategic architecture and delivery levels. Strong knowledge of AWS or comparable public cloud environments is important, including areas such as landing zones, IAM, networking, compute, storage, security, cost management, and hybrid-cloud integration.
You should have strong architectural understanding of enterprise networks, including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, segmentation, and zero-trust principles, together with experience in modern DevSecOps and automation concepts such as CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and automated security testing. Experience with OT/IoT environments, IT/OT convergence, industrial networks, SCADA, PLCs, or cyber-physical security will be particularly relevant.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is expected. Relevant certifications across enterprise architecture, cloud, cybersecurity, networking, or IT service management-including TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP, CISSP/CISM, CCNP, or ITIL-are advantageous. The role requires strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex architectural considerations into practical recommendations for both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
