Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

The Platform Control and Support team acts as the single point of entry for all changes and additions to the service catalogue of the Global Operating Platform, managing relationships with Client Group, Product, and Investment teams.

Working in close partnership with colleagues across the platform, the team operates governance of requests to help drive production scale, efficiency, and disciplined innovation. Early engagement in sales governance and product innovation processes seeks to minimise deviation from standard service offerings and ensure there is robust change management.

The team collaborates with internal experts, technology teams, and product owners to complete an impact assessmentevaluating capability, risk, and cost across the platform end-to-end.

Key Areas Of Focus

  • Risk Reduction: Maintaining platform stability and minimising operational and regulatory risk.
  • Client Experience: Ensuring seamless onboarding, operational excellence, and consistently high service standards.
  • Efficiency: Advancing process standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement.

The Team Also Provides Critical Support Services, Including

  • Aladdin platform support
  • Portfolio compliance code configuration

The role requires deep operational and investment knowledge of the end-to-end asset management value chain, including key processes, systems, and data. The individual will shape and lead the operating model design for new business needs, solve complex problems using structured frameworks, and mentor other team members.

Key Responsibilities

Operating Model Impact Assessment

  • Coordinate impact assessments across APAC teams
  • Collaborate across global teams, technology, and third-party providers such as fund administrators, custodians and Trustees to design target operating models covering platforms, processes, data, and organizational design.
  • Translate designs into deliverable outcomes and guide delivery teams through implementation.
  • Present operating model recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Monitor and reassess impacts throughout the project lifecycle.

Incident Resolution and Support

  • Step into high-priority incidents to lead resolution efforts, acting as point of escalation for operational issues.
  • Coordinate triage and root cause analysis, drawing on cross-functional expertise to restore service quickly and prevent recurrence.
  • Drive error resolution by partnering with internal teams, technology, and external providers, ensuring issues are resolved and learnings are embedded in future processes.
  • Oversee remediation planning and actions, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term platform stability.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in incident management, regularly reviewing and refining incident response protocols.
  • Provide calm, clear leadership and communication during critical events, maintaining transparency for senior management, stakeholders, and impacted teams.

Leadership

  • Lead the APAC Platform Control and Support team, managing key relationships and acting as the gateway for platform changes.
  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, identifying strategic opportunities across problems.
  • Provide thought leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior internal stakeholders of the Platform in Investment, Client Group, Legal, Compliance, and beyond
  • Manage prioritization with key stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Oversee ownership, outcomes, and timelines for operating model assessments.
  • Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven senior experience within asset management or financial services operations.
  • Deep knowledge of core asset management processes, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Strong understanding of Investment processes as well as operational processes. Familiar with multiple asset classes and instruments including fixed income, equity multi asset, derivatives, loans, and private assets.
  • In-depth experience with platforms, systems, and operational controls supporting asset management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to engage across all levels and build long-term relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and tailor presentations for senior stakeholders distilling detailed technical information into clear, concise communications.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in responding to evolving business needs.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a pragmatic and proactive approach.
  • Demonstrated collaboration across cross-functional teams and third-party providers, including Investment, Operations, Change, and Technology.
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
  • Experience managing multi-team and third-party delivery against timelines.
  • Skilled in business analysis, business architecture, and project management.
  • Proven ability to translate design work into successful delivery.
