Job Description

Role Overview
The Head of Philanthropy & Blended Finance will lead Farro Capital's integrated platform at the intersection of impact investing, philanthropy, and sustainable finance, driving the design and execution of innovative capital solutions across Asia.
The role builds on deep expertise in philanthropy , impact investment, stewardship and blended finance structuring, with a focus on mobilising private capital alongside catalytic and concessional capital to address systemic challenges such as climate resilience, food security, and inclusive growth.
This position is critical to positioning Singapore as a hub for global impact capital flows and sustainable finance innovation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership - Impact & Blended Finance

  • Lead the firm's impact investing and blended finance strategy, integrating philanthropy, ESG, and investment advisory into a unified platform
  • Develop thematic investment strategies across climate, nature, food security, and financial inclusion
  • Drive alignment with global frameworks including UN SDGs, IRIS+, and sustainable finance taxonomies

2. Blended Finance Structuring & Fund Development

  • Design and execute blended finance vehicles, including layered capital structures (grants, first-loss, debt, equity)
  • Develop innovative mechanisms such as impact-linked incentives, catalytic capital structures, and outcome-based financing models
  • Lead end-to-end fund development including investment thesis, governance, legal structuring, and capital raising

3. Impact Investment & Stewardship Integration

  • Embed impact investment and stewardship practices across portfolios, drawing on experience with global frameworks
  • Advise on ESG integration, active ownership, and long-term value creation strategies
  • Contribute to regional adoption of sustainable finance frameworks and taxonomies

4. Stakeholder & Ecosystem Development

  • Build strategic partnerships with development finance institutions, foundations, regulators, and global impact investors
  • Engage with key institutions including Monetary Authority of Singapore, International Finance Corporation, and Convergence
  • Represent the firm at global forums, policy discussions, and industry platforms on impact investing and blended finance

5. Client Advisory & Capital Mobilisation

  • Advise UHNW individuals, family offices, and institutional clients on philanthropy, impact strategies, and sustainable investment portfolios
  • Structure bespoke solutions that integrate wealth preservation with impact objectives
  • Lead capital raising across private and institutional investor segments for blended finance platforms

6. Investment & Portfolio Oversight

  • Lead sourcing, diligence, and execution of impact investments across private markets (funds, co-investments, direct deals)
  • Oversee portfolio construction, risk management, and performance tracking
  • Ensure robust impact measurement, reporting, and verification frameworks

7. Governance, Policy & Regulatory Alignment

  • Establish institutional governance structures including Investment Committees and LPAC frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore regulatory standards and global best practices
  • Engage in policy dialogue contributing to Singapore's sustainable finance and blended finance ecosystem

Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MPA, or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, or Public Policy
  • 15+ years of experience across impact investing, family offices, sustainable finance, or development finance
  • Demonstrated expertise in:
  • Blended finance structuring and fund design
  • Impact investment and philanthropy
  • Cross-border capital deployment and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working with global institutions, family offices, and multi-stakeholder ecosystems

Skills & Leadership Profile

  • Strong strategic and execution capability across public-private-philanthropic capital ecosystems
  • Advanced financial structuring and investment acumen
  • Proven ability to build platforms, influence policy, and mobilise capital at scale
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Leadership experience managing cross-functional, global teams
