About This Role

You own MiAO AI's recruiting strategy and people infrastructure from employer branding to candidate closing, from compensation design to onboarding. You personally source and close high-priority roles while building a recruiting system that scales with team growth.

Recruiting is the core priority rapidly filling key engineering and product roles. Once the recruiting system is running smoothly, you'll progressively build and optimize the People Ops function (onboarding, performance, culture) and expand the people team as the organization grows.

You'll report directly to the founders and manage the recruiting team.

What You'll Do

Recruiting Strategy & Execution (Core)

  • Define and execute a full-function recruiting strategy: sourcing, screening, interview design, salary negotiation, and closing
  • Personally source and close high-priority roles especially senior engineers and founding-level hires
  • Design end-to-end interview processes: evaluation criteria, candidate experience, and hiring bar calibration
  • Define employer brand strategy and content planning to build MiAO AI's technical presence in the Singapore market

Compensation, Compliance & People Ops

  • Design competitive and internally consistent compensation and equity packages
  • Own administrative compliance: MOM regulations, EP/S Pass management, and employment contracts
  • Build and optimize people systems: onboarding, performance reviews, career development

Team Scaling

  • Participate in headcount planning and recruiting roadmap
  • Manage and mentor the recruiting team

You May Be a Good Fit If You...

  • Your daily workflow is 100% AI-driven you use AI to source, screen, write, analyze, and build systems
  • 3+ years of people/recruiting experience, with significant time spent hiring engineers building AI or software products, plus experience building or running broader people functions (onboarding, performance, culture)
  • Recruiting experience in Singapore or Southeast Asia, with knowledge of the local talent landscape, labor laws, and visa processes
  • Conceptual understanding of AI agent products knowing what types of systems AI engineers build, able to effectively evaluate candidate technical backgrounds and collaborate with engineering teams
  • Systems thinker: you manage recruiting as a quantitative pipeline and can build and optimize people infrastructure (ATS, interview processes, evaluation criteria, offer frameworks)
  • Comfortable working independently with high autonomy, able to push back when needed
  • Value culture-building as an intentional practice, not something that just happens

Nice to Have

  • Experience recruiting engineers who have delivered agent systems or LLM-powered products able to distinguish candidates who've built production systems from those who've only built prototypes
  • Experience designing compensation structures, equity packages, or performance review frameworks
  • An established network in Singapore's tech recruiting community

Annual Salary Range: SGD 150,000 200,000

Compensation includes base salary and AWS/13th month salary.

Other Information

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Chinese. Other languages are a plus.
  • Location: This is a full-time, on-site position in Singapore.
  • Visa Sponsorship: MiAO AI provides visa sponsorship and immigration legal support for qualified candidates.
  • Relocation Support: We offer a one-time relocation allowance of SGD 5,00010,000 plus one month of temporary housing for candidates relocating to Singapore.
