Job Description

Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team as a Senior Optometry Manager, where you will lead advancements in clinical services and enhance patient care through innovative leadership and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced clinical optometry services, including complex refractions, biometry, and specialized diagnostics. Oversee and ensure clinical quality and safety standards across all optometry services. Lead quality improvement projects within departments to enhance clinical practices. Develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols and guidelines. Plan and manage human resources to optimize service delivery at the departmental level. Supervise and deploy optometry staff, including senior roles and technicians. Conduct performance management, coaching, and professional development for senior staff. Manage departmental budgets, resources, and equipment procurement effectively. Collaborate with external stakeholders to enhance patient care and outcomes. Ensure compliance with institution policies and professional optometry guidelines. Participate in continuing professional development and research activities related to optometry. Mentor junior staff and support hospital-wide quality improvement and community outreach initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Optometry from a recognized institution. Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant optometry experience demonstrating clinical competencies. At least 3-4 years of experience in supervisory or leadership roles. Proven experience in service management and quality improvement initiatives. Advanced training in specialized optometric procedures is preferred. Management or leadership qualifications are advantageous.
