About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Operations to lead and oversee trading-related operational activities within our organization. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence across cargo and bunker trading, as well as supporting international market expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of operational strategies, policies, and planning related to trading operations.
  • Oversee end-to-end operational activities including cargo trading, bunker trading, and international market expansion.
  • Manage transportation and logistics planning, loading and discharge processes, and ensure quality and quantity assurance.
  • Drive supply chain optimization and oversee maintenance of owned vessels (barges/fleet).
  • Handle claims management and dispute resolution related to operational activities.
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) standards and implement HSSE programs across the organization.
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Holding, Parent Company, and other Pertamina Group entities on strategic and operational matters.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher, with at least 13 years of relevant experience in trading operations, shipping, or oil & gas logistics.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is required to effectively review Indonesian-language documents and communicate with Indonesia-based stakeholders as part of operational responsibilities.
  • Proven experience in managing tanker operations in compliance with MPA and international maritime regulations, or prior experience at Assistant Manager level or above in a major oil company aligned with OCIMF standards.
  • Valid Certificate of Competence Class I (COC Class I) or Master Mariner certification in accordance with IMO STCW regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping and maritime business processes.
  • Holding a Pilot Certificate will be an advantage.
