Job Description

The Head of Operations will oversee the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of institutional catering operations and employee food programs across multiple sites. The role ensures that meal services are safe, cost-efficient, and aligned with employee needs, client requirements, and organizational objectives.

In addition, the position carries full business accountability, including driving sales revenue in line with budget targets, managing costs, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and partnering with the Business Development team to establish and deliver brand concepts and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of institutional catering sites and food programs.
  • Drive sales revenue, profitability, and cost efficiency in line with business targets.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs covering food service administration, safety, and hygiene.
  • Lead, coach, and develop multi-site operational teams to deliver service excellence.
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards (SFA, NEA, HACCP, ISO).
  • Partner with Business Development on new site set-ups, expansion, and brand strategy.
  • Build strong stakeholder and vendor relationships to support business growth.
  • Implement initiatives to improve service quality, customer satisfaction, and sustainability.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of managerial experience in similar field with proven track record in leading large-scale institutional catering, staff dining, or F&B operations.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in P&L responsibility, budgeting, and cost management.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, ISO, and compliance standards.
  • Experienced in leading and motivating large, multi-site teams to deliver operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Skilled at balancing operational efficiency, service excellence, and continuous innovation.
  • Hands-on leader who leads by example, inspires teams, and drives results.
  • Passionate, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
