Summary
We are seeking an execution-focused, hands-on Head of Operations to direct core operational infrastructure, trade matching, and structural administration across a multi-entity asset base serving ultra-high-net-worth global families. This role requires an agile leader who can manage an established team of seven, optimize complex private market lifecycles, and partner face-to-face with the technology team to automate in-house systems.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Scale: Direct an established team of seven professionals, write comprehensive SOPs, establish robust operational control frameworks, and scale capacity as client counts and transaction volumes grow.
- Trade Lifecycle Operations: Oversee daily trade captures, executions, public/private asset bookings, and real-time Portfolio Management System (PMS) maintenance, personally stepping in to resolve complex custodian settlement breaks when needed.
- Private Markets Administration: Manage the end-to-end operational lifecycle for illiquid assets, executing all capital calls, drawdowns, distributions, and cross-border subscriptions across complex SPV and holding structures.
- NAV & Treasury Oversight: Supervise multi-custodian consolidated NAV production, monitor multi-currency cash flows, and execute portfolio FX requirements to guarantee absolute accuracy across a varied book of client mandates.
- Tech Automation & Compliance: Partner directly with the CTO and development team to translate accounting workflows into proprietary system requirements while coordinating core regulatory filings including MAS 13O/13U, FATCA, and CRS.
Requirements
- Industry Experience: 8 to 12+ years of investment operations, middle-office, or fund operations experience gained within a Multi/Single Family Office, Private Bank, Fund Administrator, or Custodian.
- Asset Class Mastery: Deep, hands-on technical proficiency running alternative asset mechanics including capital call models, SPV administrations, and multi-custody performance reconciliations.
- Systems & Data Literacy: Strong working knowledge of institutional Portfolio Management Systems (PMS) alongside advanced Excel skills; direct experience handling system migrations or workflow automations is highly preferred.
- Regulatory Compliance: Solid understanding of the Singapore regulatory landscape, specifically managing MAS tax incentives (13O/13U) and multi-jurisdictional compliance protocols (FATCA, CRS, Cayman/BVI).
- Leadership Profile: Proven experience leading an agile back-office function, or a highly technical second-in-command/Deputy ready to step up into a standalone leadership seat with zero ego about executing manual work.
