Job Summary
The Head of Marketing & Communications is responsible for leading the team. This role requires a dynamic and experienced individual with a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies. The Head of Marketing & Communications will provide strategic direction and operational oversight to ensure the effective promotion of the organization's mission and programs.
1. PRIMARY DUTIES:
Leadership & Management:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Marketing & Communications team and fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and results-oriented environment.
- Develop and implement integrated strategic plans for Marketing & Communications, aligning them with the overall organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring for both functions, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, utilizing analytics to track performance, measure impact, and inform future strategies.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media outlets, donors, community partners, and the public.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and ethical guidelines related to marketing & communications.
Marketing & Communications:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to enhance the organization's brand, reputation, and public awareness.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging content across various channels, including website, social media, print materials, and media outreach.
- Manage media relations, building and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets to secure positive coverage.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage reputational risks.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the organization's website and other digital platforms.
2. SECONDARY DUTIES:
- Provide support in mosque event's operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a leadership role within marketing, communications, or fundraising, with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Proven ability to develop and implement integrated marketing and communication strategies.
- Demonstrated success in securing funding from diverse sources.
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles, best practices, and ethical guidelines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Ability to manage budgets effectively.
