AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

  • Create compelling, results-driven marketing plans, complete with market assessments that deliver identified objectives to the business
  • Overseeing implementation of the Marketing strategy for ASEAN - including Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR.
  • Lead overall implementation of marketing programs including lead generation activities,

eMarketing campaigns, product & solutions sales support, reference programs, customer & developer marketing programs, etc.

  • Organize, assist and implement marketing events, including the AWS Summits, exhibitions, seminars, tradeshows and product launches.
  • Day to day management and development of the marketing team.
  • Work closely with the company's Sales team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations.
  • Develop and execute customer-driven, locally oriented marketing strategies and programs that will increase customer demand, sales, and positively impact Amazon Web Services brand equity.

A day in the life

Head of Marketing role for ASEAN will be responsible for building and executing marketing plans that deliver customer acquisition and retention programs necessary to power Amazon Web Services continued growth in the region.

The role's core responsibility will be to use a combination of strong planning and hand-on execution skills to successfully plan, develop, execute and measure demand generation programs to deliver marketing contribution to the sales pipeline.

This is a true player / coach role, requiring a leader who can operate seamlessly between strategy and execution.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • 5+ years of team management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working cross-functionally with partner teams to drive adoption and usage of brand assets and messaging
  • Experience in strategic marketing management and market analysis and demonstrated ability to build and execute a strategy with clear goals and objectives to align to business and service objectives, and support portfolio objectives
  • Experience in traditional and emerging media channels including TV, OOH, cinema, digital display, online video and paid social
  • Experience leading across multiple locales
  • Experience in working with AI and Agentic tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the marketing function
