We are seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead all technology initiatives. The role will focus on integrating data from global portfolio companies into a centralized platform, ensuring data accuracy, security, and real-time visibility to support strategic decision-making by the family principals and investment team.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Data Consolidation & Integration
- Design and implement a centralized data platform to aggregate financial and operational data from portfolio companies.
- Integrate data from diverse source systems across global portfolio companies, with a focus on multi ERP/CRM platforms, including SAP
- Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines to clean, transform, and standardize data for reporting and analysis.
2. Application Development & Reporting
- .Architect and develop a Merge Reporting platform to consolidate financials (e.g., P&L, Cash Flow) across multiple entities.
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) for key stakeholders and the investment team.
- Automate manual reporting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
3. IT Infrastructure & Security
- Oversee the organization's internal IT infrastructure, including networks, servers (cloud/on-premises), and endpoint devices.
- Establish and enforce robust cybersecurity policies, data governance frameworks, and access controls to protect sensitive information.
- Manage vendor relationships for internet, cloud services (e.g. Microsoft Azure), and telecommunications.
4. Strategic Advisory & Innovation
- Advise portfolio companies on IT best practices to facilitate smoother data extraction and integration from disparate systems.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, particularly AI tools, to enhance the family office's analytical capabilities and support the evolution of the data platform and dashboards.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Information Technologies, or a related field.
- 15+ years in IT, with at least 8 years in a senior or lead role. Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Strong experience with databases, data warehouses, data platforms, and data application development.
- Proficiency in building reports and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Deep understanding of data structures of various heterogeneous systems including SAP ERP/CRM, for effective data extraction and interpretation.
- Solid understanding of network topology, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure).
- Comfortable switching between network troubleshooting, data consolidation, dashboard development, and stakeholder presentations in a single day.
- High level of personal integrity and ability to handle strictly confidential information with discretion.
