KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Investment Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute the Company's investment strategy across mining, metals, energy, commodity trading and industrial sectors.
- Identify strategic investment, acquisition, joint venture and partnership opportunities in ASEAN, China and other international markets.
- Build and maintain relationships with project owners, government agencies, financial institutions, strategic partners and industry stakeholders.
2. Investment Evaluation & Due Diligence
- Lead commercial, operational and financial evaluation of investment opportunities.
- Conduct market research, industry analysis, feasibility studies and risk assessment.
- Coordinate financial modelling, valuation analysis and investment return assessment.
- Manage legal, financial, technical and compliance due diligence processes.
3. Transaction Execution & Project Coordination
- Lead investment negotiations, transaction structuring and deal execution.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external advisors on investment documentation and project implementation.
- Support M&A, equity investments, project financing and strategic cooperation initiatives.
4. Portfolio & Project Management
- Monitor performance and progress of invested projects and strategic initiatives.
- Support post-investment integration, operational coordination and strategic planning.
- Prepare management reports and investment updates for senior management and shareholders.
5. Market Intelligence & Industry Research
- Track market trends, commodity cycles, policy developments and regional investment opportunities.
- Provide strategic insights on metals, mining, energy transition, green steel and new energy materials sectors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mining, Metallurgy or related disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in investment, corporate finance, commodity trading, industrial projects or strategic business development.
- Experience in metals, mining, energy, infrastructure, commodities or industrial sectors is highly preferred.
- Prior exposure to ASEAN, China or other cross-border investment projects is an advantage.
- Strong financial modelling, investment analysis and commercial evaluation capabilities.
- Familiar with project finance, M&A processes, JV structures and investment negotiations.
- Strong understanding of industrial projects, commodity markets and regional business environments.
- Ability to evaluate both financial and operational aspects of projects.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and business networking skills.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and execution capability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English are required Chinese language proficiency is highly preferred for effective communication with China-based business stakeholders.
