Our client is a well-established and regulated global financial institution headquartered in Asia. They are looking for a senior technology leader to bridge the gap between infrastructure operations, vendor delivery, and enterprise technology risk.
This is a high-visibility, single-accountability role. You will be the definitive owner of the end-to-end infrastructure update and deployment process across the enterprise. Your mandate is to take a fragmented operational landscape, standardize the operating model, and hold major outsourced vendors completely accountable for their service delivery, ensuring all operations align strictly with the bank's risk and regulatory expectations.
What You Will Do
- Enterprise Process Ownership: Serve as the definitive process owner for critical infrastructure operations and deployments across all in-scope technologies, enforcing strict governance and standard blueprints.
- Vendor Accountability: Take absolute ownership of outsourced infrastructure services managed by third-party enterprise vendors. You will hold them to strict SLAs, demand continuous improvement, and lead executive-level performance reviews.
- Risk & Regulatory Alignment: Partner aggressively with Security teams to prioritize system vulnerabilities, manage risk acceptance, and ensure all operational controls are audit-ready for internal compliance and external regulators.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the central escalation and coordination point between infrastructure, security, and application teams to resolve sequencing conflicts, downtime disputes, and risk prioritization.
- Executive Reporting: Build and deliver uncompromising, outcome-based metrics to senior management, highlighting operational coverage, SLA breaches, and overall enterprise risk exposure.
- Strategic Transformation: Strip out operational fragmentation. Drive initiatives to consolidate services, heavily automate operational pipelines, and establish a highly mature target-state operating model.
Requirements:
- Senior Leadership Experience: Proven track record at the Director/VP/SVP level overseeing large-scale Infrastructure Operations, Technology Risk, and Vulnerability Management.
- Vendor Management Execution: Deep experience governing Tier-1 outsourced technology service providers, with a history of enforcing rigorous contract and SLA compliance.
- Regulatory & Risk Acumen: Exceptional understanding of technology risk frameworks, audit requirements, and the regulatory expectations of the financial sector.
- Industry Background: Prior experience in banking, financial services, or similarly complex, highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.
- Communication: Ability to distill complex operational and technical risk data into clear, actionable narratives for C-level executives and regulatory bodies.
