Head of Infrastructure & IT

Role Overview
A senior infrastructure leader is sought to own platform reliability, cloud architecture, enterprise IT, and operational scalability across a regulated digital payments environment. The role leads cloud engineering, DevOps, SRE, and corporate IT to ensure high availability and operational excellence across production systems and internal platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Commercial & FinOps
- Drive commercial optimisation and cloud financial operations
- Lead infrastructure contract renewals with strong SLA, TCO, and regulatory compliance standards
- Build end-to-end FinOps capabilities: cost transparency, tagging maturity, forecasting, chargeback models, and unit economics
- Deliver run-rate savings through rightsizing, waste elimination, and pricing optimisation
Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture
- Design and operate secure, scalable multi-cloud environments (AWS, OCI, etc.)
- Lead Infrastructure-as-Code and automation initiatives
- Drive DevOps maturity including GitOps and CI/CD enhancements
- Oversee network architecture including ingress/egress controls and environment segregation
Observability & Operational Excellence
- Implement next-generation observability and service health dashboards
- Establish enterprise incident management frameworks
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility across platforms
Enterprise IT & Regional Expansion
- Lead corporate IT operations and end-user computing
- Oversee identity, access, and device lifecycle management
- Support regional IT coverage across multiple markets
- Drive enterprise IT system standardisation and migration initiatives
Compliance & Certification
- Lead infrastructure readiness for PCI-DSS certification
- Support regulatory audits and technology risk management alignment
- Implement secure coding scanning and secrets management in partnership with Engineering
Strategic Technology Initiatives
- Deliver enterprise platform transformation initiatives
- Support product innovation including emerging digital asset infrastructure capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement across infrastructure, automation, and reliability
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise IT leadership
- Experience in fintech, payments, digital assets, or regulated environments
- Proven track record leading cloud transformation and DevOps maturity programmes
- Experience supporting compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS)
- Deep experience in AWS and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
- Strong background in DevOps, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Enterprise IAM and device management expertise
- Observability and monitoring frameworks knowledge
- Network architecture and environment segregation experience
