About the company

A high-growth, PE-backed AI data centre developer and operator with an established and expanding footprint across Asia. Backed by a leading institutional infrastructure fund, the platform is at an exciting inflection point to scale its leadership team and building the people infrastructure to match its ambitions across the region.

The opportunity

This is a rare chance to be the founding HR leader of a fast-moving, development-stage platform. You will build the HR function from the ground up, designing policies, processes and culture for a lean, high-performing team that will grow significantly as the platform expands across Asia. This is a hands-on, strategic role in equal measure; you will be both the architect and the executor.

What you'll be doing

  • Build and own the full HR function from scratch — policies, frameworks, processes, and systems
  • Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on organisational design, headcount planning, and talent strategy as the platform scales
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across all levels, with a focus on senior and specialist hires in digital infrastructure
  • Design and implement compensation and benefits structures appropriate for a PE-backed, high-growth environment including carry and co-investment considerations
  • Establish HR operations across multiple Asian jurisdictions — employment law compliance, onboarding, payroll coordination, and entity set-up support
  • Drive culture-building initiatives that reflect the platform's values and attract top-tier talent in a competitive market
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on people matters, performance management, and employee relations
  • Build and manage relationships with external recruitment partners and HR service providers across the region

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership HR role
  • Proven experience building an HR function from scratch in a startup, scale-up, or greenfield environment
  • Strong understanding of multi-jurisdiction employment law and HR compliance across Asia. Singapore is essential; exposure to Malaysia, Japan, Korea, or Southeast Asia markets a strong plus
  • Experience in PE-backed, fund-backed, or high-growth infrastructure / real assets businesses preferred
  • Commercially minded and comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to influence and build trust with senior stakeholders
  • Mandarin proficiency preferred given the platform's regional operating markets
  • Based in Singapore
