Job Description

We are partnering with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Head of Group Communications to lead the group-wide communications strategy, brand positioning, stakeholder engagement, and reputation management across a diverse portfolio of businesses.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping corporate narratives, strengthening brand credibility, managing issues and crisis communications, and driving integrated communications initiatives that support long-term business and organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic communications framework aligned with organisational priorities and business goals.
  • Lead the development of compelling corporate narratives that strengthen brand reputation and reinforce organisational purpose.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on communication strategies, stakeholder engagement, and reputation management.
  • Drive proactive communications planning to anticipate issues, mitigate risks, and manage sensitive situations effectively.
  • Lead crisis and issues management efforts, including media engagement, stakeholder communications, and operational response planning.
  • Partner closely with business leaders to develop communication strategies that support growth, transformation, and market positioning initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with media, agencies, industry partners, and key external stakeholders.
  • Build and lead a high-performing communications team while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Requirements

  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Over 18 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, strategic communications, public affairs, or related functions.
  • Proven experience leading group-wide communications strategies within complex organisations serving B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Strong track record in reputation management, crisis communications, stakeholder engagement, and executive communications.
  • Experience working closely with senior leadership teams and advising C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to translate organisational objectives into impactful communication strategies.
