The Opportunity
A premier regional property developer and investment manager is undergoing a strategic expansion of its commercial portfolio, with a significant focus on prime assets in Singapore. As the group pivots toward a more sophisticated fund management model, we are seeking a high-caliber Head of Fund Finance to lead financial strategy, reporting, and capital management functions.
This is a pivotal leadership role designed for a finance professional who thrives at the intersection of real estate investment and structured fund operations. You will be responsible for building a robust financial framework that supports long-term growth and strengthens the firm's position in the Asia-Pacific New Economy real estate market.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Oversight: Lead the financial management for all property funds, ensuring seamless integration between investment activities and statutory reporting.
- Fund Accounting & Reporting: Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual fund financial statements, providing high-level analysis for investors and the Board of Directors.
- Capital & Liquidity Management: Manage fund-level distributions, capital calls, and debt covenant monitoring to optimize the capital structure of commercial assets.
- Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all fund structures remain compliant with local and cross-border tax regulations, particularly concerning Singapore and APAC jurisdictions.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary financial point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and institutional investors.
- Process Transformation: Implement and refine institutional-grade financial controls and reporting systems to support the firm's strategic scale-up.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 10-12+ years, with a significant portion spent in Fund Finance or Product Control within the Real Estate or Private Equity sectors.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience managing complex fund structures (e.g., REITs)
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing high-performing finance teams and navigating corporate strategic shifts.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the Singapore commercial real estate landscape or New Economy assets (logistics, data centers) is highly advantageous.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
