We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Head of Form Teachers to oversee student operations, form teacher management, student accommodation, and administrative governance. This role plays a critical leadership function in ensuring high student satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and smooth day-to-day school operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with academic, student services, marketing, and management teams to maintain operational excellence and a positive student experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Operations & Form Teacher Management
- Lead and oversee the Form Teacher Unit, ensuring effective student support and communication.
- Monitor Form Teacher performance against KPIs and institutional standards.
- Review and refine KPIs and SMART targets for Form Teachers.
- Conduct weekly Form Teacher meetings and ensure proper documentation.
- Oversee student orientation programmes, assemblies, and weekly announcements.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication to students and parents.
- Review student survey data and prepare analysis reports for management.
- Investigate student feedback and complaints, coordinate follow-up actions, and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates to student records and the Student Information System (SIS).
2. Student Experience & Retention
- Monitor and control student dropout rates (excluding academic-related withdrawals).
- Oversee student leave application processes in compliance with Edutrust and regulatory standards.
- Review and update relevant student-related policies and procedures annually.
- Ensure proper onboarding, training, and development of Form Teachers, including counselling and student management skills.
3. Student Accommodation Oversight
- Oversee student accommodation operations.
- Establish and monitor discipline inspection routines.
- Coordinate weekend activity schedules in collaboration with student activity staff.
- Investigate and manage accommodation-related complaints and reports.
4. Administration & Corporate Governance
- Head the Administration function, including supervision of Board Secretary duties.
- Oversee company registration matters, resolutions, contract management, and property-related documentation.
- Support strategic initiatives such as campus expansion or property sourcing when required.
5. Stakeholder & Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Student Discipline, Student Activities, CCA, Marketing, and Management teams.
- Act as a key liaison between the school, students, parents, and internal stakeholders.
6. Other Duties
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in operations management, preferably in an education or student-focused environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of student support systems, compliance requirements, and operational governance.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting abilities.
- Familiarity with Edutrust or similar regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
