Job Title: Head of Finance Operations, International Markets

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance Operations to lead and oversee finance operations across international markets for an international education group with promising growth trajectory in short to medium term.
This senior leadership role will assume full ownership of end-to-end financial operations spanning multiple jurisdictions, including AP, AR, Payroll, and Procurement.
The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, strengthen internal controls, ensure audit readiness and compliance across all regions. Acting as a trusted advisor to the CFO and Executive Leadership Team, this role will be tasked to build scalable, best-in-class finance systems and processes while trying to shape the future of finance direction in terms of productivity and efficiency to cater the organisatonal's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CFO to design and implement finance systems, policies, and structures that improve productivity, governance, and scalability.
- Lead global finance operations strategy, including process documentation, SOPs, delegation-of-authority frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage and develop a sizeable international finance operations team of professionals across AP/AR, Procurement, and Payroll functions.
- Oversee end-to-end Order-to-Cash, including customer onboarding, billing, revenue recognition, collections, IFRS-aligned bad debt provisioning, and receivables/cash flow reporting.
- Own Procure-to-Pay, payroll, and procurement leadership, including global AP operations, compliant payroll execution, and management of annual vendor spend through sourcing, negotiations, and supplier contracts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with professional certification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Prior experience within impact- or tech-driven industries (e.g. international education, professional services, technology/SaaS, healthcare services) in multi-country organizations is highly preferred.
- Experience operating within shared services or centralized regional finance operations environments will be advantageous.
- Proven leadership experience in international or APAC finance operations, with direct responsibility in a high-volume transactional environment on matters like P2P, O2C etc
- Demonstrated success managing and developing large, multicultural teams.
- Track record in developing and grooming talents in terms of both mindset and capability
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in advanced finance tools and AI-enabled technologies
