The Head of Department – Finance Management Department is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of financial and operational excellence across the region. This role partners closely with headquarters and local business leaders to drive sustainable growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver operational excellence. The incumbent will lead high-impact initiatives, strengthen organizational capabilities, and align financial strategies with corporate objectives to maximize business value.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Planning:
• Define and drive financial and operational strategies aligned with corporate vision and regional business goals.
• Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on financial, operational, and investment decisions.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment of financial objectives with business strategies.
• Support expansion, restructuring, and transformation initiatives across the organization.
Financial Strategy & Planning:
• Oversee long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across the region.
• Drive financial modelling, scenario planning, and capital allocation strategies.
• Evaluate business performance and recommend strategic initiatives to improve profitability and efficiency.
Financial Reporting & Governance:
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Establish robust internal controls, governance frameworks, and reporting standards.
• Present financial performance, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership and HQ.
Risk Management & Compliance:
• Lead enterprise risk management, including financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), and internal policies.
• Oversee audits, regulatory reporting, and relationships with external stakeholders.
Treasury & Capital Management:
• Oversee cash flow management, funding strategies, and liquidity planning.
• Optimize capital structure and manage financial risks including FX and interest rate exposure.
• Support investment, M&A, and financing activities.
Accounting & Operations Excellence:
• Oversee end-to-end finance operations including consolidation, reporting, and transactional processes.
• Drive process optimization, digital transformation, and ERP enhancements.
• Ensure operational efficiency and scalability across finance and administrative functions.
Tax & Regulatory Strategy:
• Lead tax planning, compliance, and optimization strategies including transfer pricing.
• Advise on tax implications of business decisions, investments, and cross-border activities. • Manage relationships with tax authorities and ensure adherence to local and international regulations.
Leadership & Talent Development:
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Strengthen leadership pipeline and succession planning within the department.
Others:
• Drive special projects, transformation initiatives, and HQ-driven programs including SSC establishment.
• Ensure alignment with corporate governance and global policies.
Required Qualification & Skills:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
• CPA, ACCA, or CFA certification preferred.
Experience:
• Over 10 years of experience in corporate finance, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership
role.
• Proven experience in multinational corporations and regional leadership roles.
• Strong track record in strategic planning, financial transformation and business partnering.
Technical Skills:
• Deep expertise in financial systems (e.g. SAP or equivalent ERP systems)
• Strong financial modeling, data analytics and reporting capabilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and regional tax regulations.
Soft Skills:
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Capability to work under pressure in a structured manner
