Role Summary

The WM APAC Division undertook a transformational restructure during 2025 in order to move to a largely sectorised go-to-market sales approach with the sales teams supported by Customer Experience and Finance & Business Compliance teams that operate across the Division via teams that cluster across geographic locations. The new structure will enable the Division to better support the future strategic growth ambitions of the WMFTS business.

This role is a key leadership team position within the APAC Division. The APAC Head of Finance acts a true business partner to the APAC Divisional Director and their leadership team to ensure the Division is able to deliver their operational and financial objectives. The role is expected to provide both functional finance and compliance expertise, as well as a wider strategic business perspective, to the leadership team and play a key part in creating a strongly performing and highly collaborative Division.

The role has five direct reports together with ultimate oversight of the APAC finance functional team (c.20 colleagues in aggregate).

What You'll Be Doing

  • You will provide high quality financial insight and expertise as a business partner to the WM APAC Divisional Director
  • You will lead the Finance Function within the APAC Division and be a key member of the Global WMFTS Finance Function Leadership team, working closely with the WMFTS Finance Director
  • You will own and develop the APAC Division Finance operating model ensuring both high quality Compliance and Financial reporting alongside designing and implementing an efficient structure which reduces complexity, identifies core activities and leverages scale
  • You will be directly responsible for all aspects of Financial Reporting (both Management and Statutory reporting), Planning, Compliance & Governance within the APAC Division
  • You will have strong technical accounting skills to ensure alignment to accounting policy requirements, with a particular focus on key Sales focus areas, including revenue recognition, cross border movements of products, fixed assets and inventory management
  • The role will own, manage and deliver the annual reporting and forecasting cycle outputs within both the WMFTS APAC Division, the WMFTS Business and the wider requirements of the Spirax Group
  • Provide comprehensive and insightful management reporting within the Division which acts as a key performance driver and facilitates (i) the early identification of issues and (ii) opportunities to drive performance improvement
  • You will be required to have the ability to understand how the financial and operational performance of the Division are linked and bring the financial performance to life by storytelling and highlighting the key operational levers and drivers of financial performance delivery.
  • Play active role in the APAC Leadership Team to coordinate and communicate policies and decisions across the multiple businesses and functions that exist in the Asia Pacific.
  • Enforce and monitor execution of DOA (Delegation of Authority) within the region, via the various approval tools such as BPM and CRM and MS PowerApps.
  • You will own the relationship with the external audit firm and the APAC Division, coordinating the audit work and ensuring all issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively
  • You will be responsible for the internal control environment within the Division and ensure prompt closure of all audit actions and ongoing compliance with the Spirax Group's G3 control framework requirements

Who You'll Be Working With

  • Business partner to both WM APAC Division Director and WM Global Finance Director
  • Member of both the APAC Division and Global Finance Leadership teams.You will play a key role within these teams by building strong, collaborative relationships with peers and by bringing valuable insight, expertise and perspective to the teams
  • You will work closely with the Spirax Group functions, primarily Group Finance & Internal Audit, as well as wider stakeholders across the Spirax Group, including your peers within the STS & ETS businesses
  • You will own the Finance function across all the WMFTS APAC sites.
  • Building strong relationships with the key individuals within both each sector team and each physical site will be crucial to success as will being a visible, supportive senior leader to the local finance teams within each site

  • Finance experience – a proven senior finance functional leader with a recognised accounting qualification and wide-ranging portfolio of experience which demonstrates both international business and manufacturing exposure

  • An ability to evaluate and assess operating models and to deliver change in a structured and deliberate manner to drive efficiency and increase organisational stability
