About ScaleUp.SG
ScaleUp is a PE-backed, institutionally backed financial platform building a category-defining alpha generation yield business powered by regime-aware AI. The company has processed $3.2bn+ for 50+ blue-chip clients (including global fintechs, listcos) and is now entering the next phase of growth, with a focus on application of ASC 606, PCAOB readiness and IPO-quality financial reporting.
The role
ScaleUp is hiring a senior finance professional to lead the reporting and execution workstreams for its proposed spin-off and future IPO. The mandate is clear: define the reporting perimeter, prepare supportable historical financial information for the ScaleUp business, strengthen audit readiness, and help position the company for institutional investors and capital markets.
We are looking for a commercially minded, execution-oriented finance leader who can build supportable spin-off and IPO reporting in a complex multi-entity environment.
This is not a role for someone who only flags technical risk it is a role for someone who can structure, document, defend, and deliver a workable reporting solution.
What you will do
- Lead finance workstreams linked to spin-off execution, restructuring and IPO readiness.
- Define the historical reporting perimeter for the ScaleUp business and prepare supportable financial information for that perimeter.
- Prepare basis-of-preparation papers, reconciliations, supporting schedules and other audit-ready documentation.
- Lead the PCAOB-quality audit process, working alongside the Company's existing Big 4 auditors, with a specific focus on the application of ASC 606 - including principal vs. agent determinations, identification of performance obligations, variable consideration constraint, and transaction price allocation.
- Draft and defend technical accounting memos on complex revenue recognition issues, providing audit-ready support for external auditors.
- Build pro forma financial information for the post-reorganisation structure.
- Strengthen reporting processes, controls, close discipline and finance governance across a scaling multi-entity platform.
- Coordinate across finance, legal, tax and management to keep restructuring and reporting workstreams aligned.
What we arelooking for
- 8-15+ years of experience in Big 4 or adjacent advisory environments, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked on historically Big 4-audited entities and understand the rigour and expectations of a PCAOB-quality audit.
- Proven ability to take multi-entity situations and turn them into clear, supportable, investor-grade financial information.
- Strong experience in spin-offs, reorganisations, IPO readiness, reporting perimeter design, or other situations requiring judgment, structure, and execution.
- Deep technical accounting expertise, particularly in ASC 606 - with demonstrable experience in principal vs. agent determinations, performance obligations, variable consideration constraint, and transaction price allocation - and the ability to draft and defend technical memos for external big-4 auditors.
- Familiarity with PCAOB audit requirementsand the ability to interface credibly with external auditors on complex, judgmental accounting areas.
- Commercially minded and solutions-oriented, with the ability to identify issues, frame practical options, and drive a workable path forward rather than stopping at technical objections.
- More builder than risk-focused auditor comfortable creating first-time reporting frameworks, basis-of-preparation papers, allocation methodologies, and audit support from incomplete starting points.
- Strong technical accounting judgment, combined with practical instincts on materiality, presentation, sequencing, and execution.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and working directly with founders, investors, legal counsel, tax advisers, and auditors in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience in fintech, asset management, wealthtech, treasury, or other regulated, multi-entity business models is highly relevant.
