Head of Finance & Operations

A very well-capitalised Singapore-based startup has tasked us with finding their first Head of Finance & Operations a critical hire that will work directly with the CEO to build the operational backbone of the business.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor of a funded, fast-moving firm and grow with it. The kind of role where what you build is yours and the impact is immediate. There is a direct path to CFO for the right person as the business scales this is not a support role, it's a founding team seat.

The firm needs someone who can own everything from payroll and bank account setup through to entity structuring, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day financial operations. You'll be the person the CEO leans on to make sure the business runs cleanly while the business scales.

You don't need industry-specific knowledge. You need to be exceptionally organised, commercially sharp, and the kind of person who figures things out rather than waiting to be told.

What you'll be doing:

Setting up and managing banking relationships and payroll infrastructure. Owning financial operations end to end reporting, bookkeeping, compliance. Supporting the CEO across entity structuring and corporate governance. Negotiating with hyperscalers, cloud providers, data vendors, and exchanges to get the best commercial terms as the business scales. Building the finance and ops function from scratch.

What they're looking for:

3-5 years in a finance or operations role, ideally from a Big 4 or professional services background. Singapore-based with strong local market knowledge. Commercially minded, hands-on, and comfortable operating with autonomy in an early-stage environment. CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
