Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Finance to lead the Company's finance function. The role is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, taxation, compliance, and internal controls, ensuring accurate financial information and strong governance in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

The Head of Finance will serve as a key business partner to senior management, providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making, operational efficiency, and business growth.

This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership experience, with the ability to manage complex finance operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

. Prepare and present timely, accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

. Analyze financial performance and variances against budget, providing actionable insights to management.

. Assist in completing the group consolidation and financial reporting process.

. Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

. Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborate with department heads to set financial targets, and provide regular forecasts and variance analysis to track performance.

. Regularly update financial forecasts and provide insights on potential risks or opportunities.

. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.

. Support financial modelling and scenario analysis for business planning and initiatives.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

. Design, implement, and oversee internal controls to safeguard the company's financial assets. Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.

. Coordinate audits and ensure successful completion of external and internal audits and resolve any discrepancies.

Cash Flow Management:

. Oversee cash flow forecasting, ensuring liquidity to meet the company's obligations.

. Optimise working capital by managing accounts payable and receivable.

. Support treasury-related activities to ensure effective financial resource management.

Team Leadership & Development:

. Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

. Identify training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the finance team.

Strategic Financial Planning:

. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop financial strategies that support company growth, operational efficiency and profitability.

. Contribute to long-term strategic planning, investment decisions, and risk management.

. Monitor and oversee project budgets, forecasts, and actual cost tracking across all phases.

Taxation:

. Oversee tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filings, and liaising with external tax advisors.

. Monitor and manage tax liabilities, ensuring the company benefits from available tax incentives and credits.

Other Duties as Assigned:

. Provide financial analysis and reporting as required by senior management.

. Perform other finance and business-related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

. Professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred.

. Minimum 8-12 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including group consolidation.

. Strong experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). Exposure to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), fundraising, or corporate finance is an advantage.

. Strong understanding of IFRS, financial reporting standards, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control frameworks.

. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modelling.

. Proven leadership experience in managing and developing finance teams.

. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.

. Experience in Fintech, Technology, or high-growth environments is an advantage.

. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
