Under the Family and Life Services (FLS) department at Autism Association (Singapore) (AA(S)), our Social Work team advocates for the needs of individuals on the autism spectrum, facilitate their access to resources and be their connecting bridge between AA(S) services, their families and the community. Our mission is to enable the individuals to maximise their potential, helping them lead meaningful and quality lives in society.
We are looking for a Senior Social Worker to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the Social Work team to ensure holistic, integrated, and quality social work services across AA(S)s service units.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Leadership
. Develop department vision, policies, and strategic plans
. Align services with service units goals, disability sector's priorities and government agencies / Enabling Masterplan directions
. Drive remedial, developmental, and upstream practice models
2. Service Planning & Development
. Oversee casework systems, group work programmes and community development initiatives
. Develop tiered case intervention frameworks
. Identify service gaps and new initiatives
3. Clinical Governance
. Ensure quality and ethical practice
. Oversee safeguarding and high-risk cases
. Lead crisis management and escalation
. Monitor outcomes and service standards
4. Supervision & Workforce Development
. Deliver education and training for Social Workers and other stakeholders
. Supervise Social Workers and Social Work Associates
. Build staff capability in child-centred and systemic practice and coaching approaches
. Manage manpower planning and workload allocation
. Identify and create holistic development opportunities for staff under their charge
5. Stakeholder & Community Engagement
. Collaborate frequently with other agencies and ministries
. Represent department in leadership meetings
6. Data, Audit & Reporting
. Monitor department's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and outcomes
. Oversee audits and compliance
. Prepare reports for leadership and funding agencies
7. Any other relevant duties as assigned by management

Key requirements:
Registered Social Worker with Social Work Accreditation and Advisory Board (SWAAB)
Minimum 6 years of direct social work experience, including at least 2 years in supervisory role
Proven experience in staff supervision, performance evaluation, and team leadership
Demonstrated ability in resource management, budgetary planning, and operational oversight
