Job Description

We are partnered with an exciting and growing B2B events business that run global events with a twist. They combine B2B conferences on exciting topics within finance and tehcnology with incredible entertainment and event features that get everyone talking.

They are seeking a seasoned Head of Events in Singapore to spearhead the organisation and execution of major international conferences. This role operates at the heart of event operations, collaborating closely with sponsorship, production, and experience divisions to deliver exceptional experiences to their audiences.

The successful candidate will act as the central operational liaison between internal departments, production partners, agencies and external suppliers, guaranteeing smooth coordination from initial planning through on-site implementation. This position also manages the creation and logistics of a signature multi-day side event program that runs alongside the primary conference.

This opportunity suits someone who is exceptionally organized, business-minded, and skilled at overseeing intricate, high-visibility conferences and extensive event portfolios, whilst being forward thinking and creative to deliver amazing experiences for their guests.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Direct the end-to-end planning and delivery of premium conferences and related programming from initial concept to post-event wrap-up.
  • Guarantee an outstanding participant experience throughout every interaction point, encompassing agenda development, venue configuration, connection areas, and collaborator engagements.
  • Create and administer detailed event schedules, operational frameworks, and rollout timetables.

Vendor & Production Oversight

  • Function as the principal liaison for production firms and outside suppliers, covering stage construction, audio-visual equipment, custom builds, creative design, and technical providers.
  • Supervise location logistics, layout designs, construction calendars, and technical production to ensure flawless execution.
  • Handle supplier vetting, agreement discussions, and vendor performance evaluation.

Side Event Programming

  • Direct the execution and logistics of a multi-day curated side event series occurring in conjunction with the main conference.
  • Align locations, suppliers, collaborators, and internal groups to maintain consistent excellence and operational precision throughout all side events.
  • Control scheduling, logistical coordination, and production benchmarks across concurrent locations and partners

Leadership & Operations

  • Establish and enhance event operational workflows to enable expansion of multiple worldwide events.
  • Recognize operational hazards and proactively address obstacles during planning and live execution.
  • Direct on-site event operations and synchronize groups, suppliers, and firms during event week.

Financial Management & Scheduling

  • Create and oversee event budgets covering production, logistics, and supplier costs.
  • Monitor expenditures and locate cost-saving opportunities while preserving superior production standards.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience executing major conferences, trade shows, festivals or international events.
  • Experience managing prominent events attracting thousands of participants.
  • Solid background collaborating with production firms, technical teams, and intricate event logistics.
  • Background coordinating across various internal groups including sponsorship, communications, and operations.
  • Outstanding project management and administrative abilities.
  • Strong bargaining and supplier oversight experience.
  • Capacity to thrive in a busy, startup-style setting.
  • Readiness to travel globally and be present during events.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Background executing major international conferences within technology, media, or innovation industries.
  • Background working with collaborator-focused events and partner engagements.
  • Background managing multi-location event programs or citywide event series.
