About the Company
A fast-growing healthtech startup building AI-powered products in preventive healthcare, healthspan, and longevity. The company is developing a personalised digital health platform that brings together biomarkers, medical records, wearable data, research insights, and other health information to help users better understand their long-term health.
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering team across frontend, backend, mobile, AI, data, and infrastructure.
- Own the technical direction, architecture, and engineering roadmap.
- Review architecture, code quality, infrastructure, and major technical decisions.
- Build scalable products for internal healthcare users and external clients.
- Develop and improve data pipelines for structured and unstructured healthcare-related data.
- Work with data from wearables, biomarkers, medical records, reports, research papers, and external devices.
- Ensure data quality, monitoring, reliability, security, privacy, and compliance.
- Work with AI engineers on LLM-enabled products, research analysis, and client data insights.
- Set up engineering processes, guide delivery, and support team growth.
Requirements
- Experience as an Engineering Lead, Head of Engineering, Director of Engineering, or similar senior technical leadership role.
- Experience leading engineering teams in a startup or product-led environment.
- Strong hands-on technical background across code review, architecture, infrastructure, and system design.
- Experience building scalable software products and data-intensive platforms.
- Strong experience with structured and unstructured data pipelines.
- Experience working with complex data sources such as wearables, documents, reports, medical records, or external device data.
- Good understanding of data quality, monitoring, security, privacy, and compliance.
- Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or another major public cloud.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, Python, React, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, or similar technologies.
- Exposure to AI-enabled products, LLM tools, or using AI to improve engineering productivity.
Good to Have
- Experience in healthcare, healthtech, medtech, longevity, wellness, bioinformatics, or regulated industries.
- Experience with biomarkers, health data, clinical data, or research papers.
- Experience building personalised user experiences or data-driven recommendation systems.
- Experience working with distributed teams.
Tech Environment
TypeScript, Python, React / React Native, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, AWS / GCP, AI tools, LLM-enabled applications, and structured / unstructured healthcare data pipelines.
