Designation: Deputy Head / Head of Component Service Centre
Responsibility
- Lead the development and implementation of component repair/overhaul/maintenance capabilities to support future demands
- Lead the operation and sustainability of component maintenance capabilities to support the operation.
- Ensure the safety of all staff and their activities at all times through implementing workplace, health and safety plan.
- Ensure the development of each staff to achieve their required staff competencies (Technical and Professional development).
- Ensure the technical standards required and timely execution of maintenance to achieve the performance of assets reliability.
- Fulfil all requirements from regulators and legislations.
- Managing resources and expenses to keep within the budget allocated for the department.
- Interface with departments, vendors and LTA on all matters.
- Promote and encourage workplace improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for the safety of all department staff, related contractors and other working on or around the railway premises.
- Responsible for certifying the competence of CSC maintenance staff and ensuring the competence of related contractor staff.
- Ensure the department comply with SBST's Safety, Health and Security Policies.
- To expand future capabilities in the field of Electronics Component / Cards repair , including collaboration with partners.
- To expand the current of Additive manufacturing capabilities including collaboration with partners
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (any discipline).
- Preferred Chartered Engineer and Member of Professional Institutions.
- Preferably with 8 to 10 years of working experience in railway engineering or heavy industry engineering, with a preferred emphasis on maintenance for degree holder.
- Strong Leadership Qualities.
- Highly developed Planning and Organization skills.
- Interpersonal skills which enable post holder to communicate effectively with all levels.
- Experience in field of electronics repairs is preferred.
