We are seeking an experienced Head of Detection to lead the design and evolution of our real-time intelligence and defense systems across a complex, high-volume digital ecosystem.
This is a mission-critical leadership role focused on building systems that can detect risks, anomalies, and hidden signals in real time, enabling the business to respond rapidly and intelligently across products, platforms, data environments, and operational workflows.
The ideal candidate combines strong systems thinking, deep technical expertise in streaming data and AI/ML, and the ability to translate fragmented signals into actionable intelligence at scale.
What You'll Do
- Design and build unified detection and intelligence systems across multiple data domains and event sources
- Develop and scale real-time signal processing pipelines using modern streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming)
- Leverage AI/ML and anomaly detection models in production to identify emerging risks and abnormal patterns
- Build frameworks that can extract high-value signals from noisy, fragmented, and high-volume data environments
- Establish continuous feedback, learning, and model optimization loops to improve detection accuracy over time
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, data, product, risk, operations, and business teams to ensure full system coverage
- Define detection strategy, system architecture, and operational response mechanisms for mission-critical environments
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team spanning detection engineering, data intelligence, and applied AI
What We're Looking For
- 8–15+ years of experience in real-time systems, data platforms, AI/ML systems, fraud intelligence, cybersecurity detection, or anomaly detection environments
- Proven experience building production-grade real-time data pipelines and event-driven architectures
- Strong hands-on expertise with Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, or similar distributed streaming frameworks
- Deep understanding of signal engineering, anomaly detection, graph intelligence, or event correlation systems
- Applied AI/ML experience with models deployed into live production environments
- Strong systems thinking with the ability to connect cross-domain weak signals into actionable intelligence
- Comfortable operating in complex, high-noise, fast-moving environments
- Excellent leadership and cross-functional stakeholder management capability
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese for cross-regional collaboration
