Head of Data Platform, Public Institution

We are seeking a Head of Data Platform to lead the design, delivery and growth of the enterprise data platform of a leading public institution in Singapore. In this senior leadership role, you will manage a team of 15 to 20 data engineers and modelers, driving platform strategy and execution to enable advanced analytics and business innovation. You will be responsible for ensuring the platform is scalable, secure, and fit for purpose, while partnering with senior stakeholders to align data initiatives with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

As the Head of Data Platform, your primary responsibilities will include defining and owning the platform roadmap, overseeing end-to-end delivery and ensuring operational excellence. You will lead the adoption of Azure cloud-native services and drive the implementation of Azure Fabric. You will set data engineering and modelling standards, embed best practices in governance and security and mentor your team to deliver high-impact, high-quality solutions.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have proven experience in data engineering and data architecture with leadership responsibilities. You must bring hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure data services (e.g., Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory) and a track record of building and scaling enterprise data platforms. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills are essential. Experience implementing Azure Fabric would be a strong advantage.
