PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Head of Data, Analytics & Technology (DAT) is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving technology adoption, data excellence, and advanced analytics capabilities across the APAC region. This role ensures that modern technology solutions, high‑quality data, and actionable insights enable business growth, operational efficiency and customer engagement, fully aligned with Avolta's global DAT strategies.

This role has matrix reporting lines, i.e. regional reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, APAC and functionally to Global SVP, Data & Analytics and Global SVP, Technology.

The DAT team collaborates with APAC regional functions, i.e. Business Development & Operational Excellence, Commercial, Omnichannel Experience and Finance; and champions data literacy, fosters a culture of data‑driven decision‑making, and ensures that regional needs are met through a combination of global standard solutions and tailored regional capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Alignment Across Data, Analytics & Technology

  • Align with global DAT strategies to support the acceleration of business growth in APAC.
  • Deliver integrated technology and data solutions that address regional challenges and opportunities.
  • Drive a cohesive, end‑to‑end operating model across data, analytics, and technology for APAC.

Regional Leadership & Team Management

  • Business partner to APAC senior leadership team, providing strategic guidance, insights, and recommendations for decision making.
  • Build, lead, and mentor high‑performing regional DAT teams.
  • Champion data literacy and uplift analytical and digital capabilities across the region.

Technology Enablement & Program Portfolio Management

  • Manage technology solution rollouts for M&A, business expansion, and regional transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions are as standard as possible and as local as needed, balancing global consistency with regional relevance.
  • Lead and manage regional stakeholders needs and expectations, for DAT program portfolio.

Master Data Management & Data Governance

  • Oversee the integrity, consistency, and governance of master data (customers, products, vendors, locations etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with global data standards while addressing region‑specific requirements.
  • Partner with global data governance teams to implement and maintain robust data quality frameworks.

Reporting, Analytics, Business Performance & Commercial Insights

  • Lead the delivery of day‑to‑day reporting, dashboards, and insights that support regional business insights and decision making, especially sales, category, SKUs, outlets performance.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and relevant performance reporting for the APAC CEO and senior leadership team (Managing Directors, VPs and Regional Directors).
  • Leverage advanced analytics to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities across APAC markets; and translate data into actionable insights that drive commercial, operational, and financial performance improvements.
  • Develop and scale customer and market insights capabilities to support growth, segmentation, pricing‑promo‑assortment optimization, and customer experience.
  • Partner with commercial and omnichannel teams to embed insights into strategic planning and execution.

IT Operations & Service Excellence

  • Manage the regional IT operations team to deliver stable, sustainable, and high‑quality operational support for all IT solutions.
  • Monitor overall performance of IT operations in the region and provide periodic reporting to the Global SVP of Technology.
  • Ensure operational excellence, system reliability, and continuous improvement of technology services.

Qualifications & Experience

  • >15+ years of experience in Data, Analytics & Technology, or related business fields, with at least 5 years in a senior manager role.
  • Proven track record in leading technology programs, master data management, analytics strategy, and delivering insights at scale.
  • Strong experience partnering with senior executives and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Expertise in modern technologies, data platforms, analytics tools, and industry evolutions, applicable to retail and F&B industry.
  • Ability to communicate and simplify technical terms for business stakeholders, and concisely to leadership teams.
  • Deep understanding of the Travel Retail industry, APAC markets, and regional business dynamics is a strong plus.
