Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Strategy
- Define and lead the enterprise data strategy and roadmap aligned with organisational priorities
- Drive initiatives to strengthen data governance, management, and analytics capabilities
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to embed data initiatives into transformation programmes
- Promote data literacy and responsible use of enterprise data
Enterprise Data Governance
- Establish and implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks
- Define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across business domains
- Develop and enforce data policies, standards, and governance guidelines
- Set up governance forums such as Data Governance Boards and Councils
- Ensure governance practices are embedded in systems and business processes
System of Record & Data Standards
- Define and maintain System of Record (SoR) and Single Source of Truth (SSOT) principles
- Standardise data definitions, ownership, and reporting metrics
- Establish enterprise data domains and master data structures
- Ensure alignment between systems, platforms, and data standards
Trusted Data Foundations
- Implement data quality frameworks, controls, and monitoring processes
- Establish validation, reconciliation, and exception management processes
- Reduce reliance on manual and spreadsheet-based reporting
- Develop trusted datasets within enterprise analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Qlik)
- Ensure consistent and reliable reporting data sources
Regulatory & Risk Governance
- Ensure data governance aligns with regulatory and compliance requirements
- Implement data lineage, traceability, and documentation standards
- Support audit readiness and governance controls
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams
Data Architecture Governance
- Define enterprise data architecture principles and standards
- Work with IT teams to align systems, integrations, and data pipelines
- Participate in architecture reviews for new initiatives
- Provide oversight of enterprise data models and structures
Data & Technology Partnership
- Collaborate with IT and business leaders to align data and technology strategies
- Ensure governance standards are embedded in enterprise platforms
- Support development of analytics and reporting capabilities
- Enable trusted enterprise-wide reporting
Qualifications & Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or data architecture leadership
- Proven experience building and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks
- Experience with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Qlik, or similar)
- Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and master data management
- Experience working in complex enterprise environments
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to drive cross-functional transformation initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, DCAM, TOGAF) are advantageous
