Head of Cybersecurity (SOC)

The Company

We're partnering with a technology firm who is seeking to hire their Head of Cybersecurity to lead their Security Operations Center (SOC).

The Role

You will lead the cybersecurity team and oversee all SOC operations, ensuring robust cybersecurity practices and efficient incident responses. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing SOC policies, procedures, and processes to maintain effective security operations. Additionally, you will coordinate responses to security incidents, ensure adherence to incident management protocols, and conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to mitigate risks. Keeping abreast of the latest security threats and equipping the team with advanced threat intelligence, tools, and technologies are also key aspects of the role.

Your Profile

You are a degree holder with 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity and 2+ years of experience in leading SOC teams. You have a solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, along with proficiency in security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection. You have strong familiarity with incident response methodologies, network protocols, system architecture, and cybersecurity threats. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or equivalent are a plus. Solid interpersonal and communication abilities are essential for effectively partnering with various stakeholders in this role.
