Cost & Contract Management function
Our client is a well established real estate and development organisation with an extensive portfolio of large scale projects across the region. They are seeking an experienced commercial leader to head up this function. This is a strategic leadership position that will work closely with senior management and project stakeholders to ensure effective cost control, contract administration and commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle. Drive best in class commercial, procurement and contract management practices across the business. Lead cost, contracts and commercial management across a major development portfolio, driving value, governance and project success.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all cost management, quantity surveying and contract administration activities across the project portfolio.
- Oversee project budgets, cost planning, forecasting and financial reporting to ensure effective cost control.
- Provide commercial advice to senior management on procurement, contractual matters and project risks.
- Drive tendering and procurement processes, including bid evaluations, negotiations and award recommendations.
- Manage contract administration, variations, claims, disputes and final account settlements.
- Identify cost savings and value engineering opportunities to optimise project outcomes.
- Build and manage relationships with consultants, contractors, suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor and develop the Cost & Contract Management team while promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, governance requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
- Professional accreditation with recognised industry bodies such as RICS, SISV, AIQS, CIArb or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in quantity surveying, cost consultancy, commercial management or development related environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing commercial teams and overseeing large scale construction or development projects.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement, construction law and standard forms of contract.
- Demonstrated expertise in cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, value engineering and financial control.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast paced environment.
- Experience within the South East Asian market is a hard requriement.
- Experience working with property development is a hard requirement.
