Role Overview:
The Head of Corporate Development will play a pivotal leadership role, driving group-level strategy, M&A, and fundraising. This senior position is suited for an experienced dealmaker eager to shape the growth trajectory of a purpose-driven maritime tech company.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth & M&A
- Lead acquisitions and strategic investments from sourcing through integration
- Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team on long-term growth planning
- Track industry, competitive, and macroeconomic trends to identify opportunities
Fundraising & Capital Strategy
- Own capital planning and fundraising across the group and portfolio companies
- Manage investor engagement and fundraising processes end-to-end
- Oversee investor readiness, including models, diligence materials, and pitch decks
- Build strong networks with investors, banks, advisors, and partners
- Represent the company at industry events and forums
Investor & Shareholder Relations
- Maintain relationships with investors, shareholders, and Board members
- Deliver clear, high-quality updates on performance and strategy
- Translate complex financial and strategic topics into compelling narratives
Portfolio Advisory
- Advise portfolio companies on strategy, capital planning, and growth initiatives
- Support annual planning, scenario modelling, and performance reviews
- Assist with special situations such as turnarounds, restructurings, or divestments
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
- 8-10+ years of experience in corporate development, strategic finance, or investments
- Proven track record in M&A, fundraising, and strategic investments
- Strong skills in financial modelling, deal structuring, and investor communications
- Ability to operate across multiple businesses in a fast-paced environment
- Continuous learning mindset with awareness of market trends and emerging tech
