Job Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Standards
- Set the overall plan for content across the website, blog, social and video to meet business goals.
- Keep simple, clear rules for tone of voice, brand style, accuracy/fact-checking, accessibility and how AI tools may be used.
- Choose key themes we should cover and how pieces link together so people (and search engines) can find them easily.
- Plan for site or content changes (merges, redesigns) so we don't lose traffic or quality.
Editorial Planning, Production & Distribution
- Own the multi-channel editorial calendar create briefs grounded in search intent, audience insights and funnel stages.
- Oversee production and on-page optimisation (titles, headings, metadata, alt text, structured data, readability, localisation / transcreation) for all formats.
- Scale content via programmatic/templated pages where appropriate repurpose assets to extend reach and lifespan.
- Coordinate publishing, distribution and amplification across owned and earned channels, with paid support where approved.
Team Leadership & Operations
- Set the team's yearly plans and KPIs and turn them into a clear, resourced roadmap.
- Build and lead the team (hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance and succession).
- Create simple ways of working: templates, checklists and QA steps to keep quality high.
- Run regular team rituals (stand-ups, planning, retros) and keep remote/overseas teammates supported
- Manage the budget, tools and any agencies or vendors.
- Keep Marketing, Design/UX, Development and Sales aligned report progress to senior management/Board as required.
- Look after risk and compliance (approvals, copyright, privacy) and handle escalations.
SEO & Website Experience (Oversight)
- Set content-led SEO priorities and approve information architecture, hub/pillar strategy and on-page standards (titles, headings, internal linking, schema usage).
- Ensure technical SEO audits are conducted and that remediations are prioritised with Development and the Company's technical functions.
- Approve content requirements for migrations and new launches technical implementation and site-level changes are delivered by the relevant technical teams.
- Review search performance regularly (what's rising, what's dropping) and direct content refreshes or consolidation.
- The Executive retains outcome accountability for organic performance while technical execution sits with the Company's technical functions.
Measurement, Analytics & Experimentation (Outcomes)
- Define KPIs, targets and reporting cadence build/oversee dashboards and lead performance reviews convert insights into prioritised roadmaps and resourcing decisions.
- Own content experimentation (e.g., titles/meta, schema variants, creative formats, publishing cadences) and ensure learnings are adopted across channels.
- Data instrumentation and tracking hygiene (e.g., data layer, tags, property configuration) are operated by the relevant technical teams in line with the measurement framework set by the Executive.
Requirements:
- At least 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience in content writing
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring creative teams
- Strong capability to develop and execute long-term, ROI-driven content strategies.
- Deep understanding of content marketing, digital marketing and SEO best practices, analytics, and digital channels (e.g., Google, LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube).
- Exceptional written, verbal, and storytelling skills.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and analytical tools
