This role is responsible for designing, building and embedding a Group‑wide compliance framework that supports a complex, operationally intensive business.
- Establishing a robust Policy Management Framework, including discovery, rationalisation and creation of a clear, tiered policy architecture.
- Conducting regulatory horizon scanning and mapping regulatory obligations directly to business processes and controls.
- Driving a Compliance by Design approach by embedding controls into systems and workflows in partnership with technology teams.
- Leading compliance digitisation initiatives, including GRC platforms, workflow automation and a centralised policy portal.
- Building data‑driven compliance capabilities such as analytics, key risk indicators, automated exception management and real‑time dashboards.
- Shaping ethical behaviour and commercial integrity across the organisation, particularly in high‑risk buyer‑vendor and third‑party relationships.
Profile
- 10+ years of experience in compliance, or regulatory risk roles within complex organisations.
- Exposure to high‑volume, operational environments such as retail, FMCG, consumer goods or similar large‑scale commercial settings.
- A proven track record of building or transforming compliance frameworks, including implementing GRC tools and automating manual processes.
- Strong strategic judgement, with the ability to balance commercial objectives with regulatory and ethical requirements.
- The credibility and leadership skills to influence diverse stakeholders across procurement, operations, technology and regulatory interfaces.
