Head of Compliance

We are partnering with a fast-growing regional technology group to appoint a Head of Compliance with oversight across several Asian markets. The role involves building scalable compliance frameworks, ensuring regulatory consistency, and offering functional support to local teams, while maintaining a hands-on approach to key compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead compliance strategy across data, KYC, and risk-related product lines
• Build and enhance vendor and outsourcing compliance frameworks across APAC
• Oversee licensing matters, regulatory audits, and multi-jurisdiction compliance processes
• Provide oversight and guidance to in-country compliance teams
• Partner with Legal, Data Protection, and business stakeholders to align regulatory frameworks
• Support enterprise client audits and act as the key compliance contact for major partners
• Drive compliance projects, investigations, and issue resolution
• Support operational execution and ensure scalable governance across markets

Requirements:

• 10–15 years experience in financial services, fintech, regtech, or regulated data environments
• Strong exposure to data privacy laws, vendor/outsourcing compliance and multi-market regulatory frameworks
• Strong project management capability to oversee compliance-related applications and initiatives, including defining workflows, assigning ownership, setting timelines, and ensuring structured, timely execution.
• Experience with data governance, KYC/KYB, or regulated credit environments preferred
• Hands-on execution mindset with strong stakeholder and cross-functional skills
• Regional APAC experience essential; multilingual is a plus
