About RUMAVI

RUMAVI is Southeast Asia's international property advisory and marketplace, connecting buyers, investors, expats, and relocating families with property across Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Launched in December 2025, we combine a multilingual listings platform with hands-on advisory services, giving international buyers the depth of guidance they cannot find on a generic global portal.

We are built in Singapore, operate across six markets, and are growing fast. Our content, data, and advisory product are already live. What we are building now is the commercial infrastructure to match.

The Role

This is a senior commercial hire and one of the most important we will make in our first year. We are looking for someone to own and build RUMAVI's partnerships with property developers and real estate agencies across Southeast Asia, turning our growing buyer audience into structured, revenue-generating relationships on the supply side.

You will be the person who takes RUMAVI from a platform with strong early momentum to one with a serious, repeatable commercial engine. That means identifying the right developer and agent partners in each market, building the relationships, closing the agreements, and structuring deals that work for both sides over the long term.

This is not an account management role and it is not a portal sales role. If you have spent years selling listing packages on an established property platform, this is probably not the right fit. If you have a background in developer BD, real estate consultancy, or proptech, and you are energised by the idea of building something from scratch in a market that is genuinely underserved, keep reading.

What You Will Own

Developer Partnerships: Identify and close marketing partnership agreements with developers across Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Structure revenue-share arrangements on buyer introductions rather than flat listing fees. Build RUMAVI into a preferred distribution channel for developers targeting international buyers.

Agent Network: Develop and formalise RUMAVI's relationships with the best independent agencies and boutique brokerages in each priority market. Establish quality criteria, onboarding processes, and accountability standards that protect the integrity of the platform.

Commercial Revenue Streams: Lead the development of RUMAVI's paid placement and verified partner tiers, working with the founding team to define the commercial model, the pricing, and the go-to-market approach.

Market Intelligence: Stay close to what is happening on the ground in each market. Feed commercial insights back into the product, content, and advisory teams so RUMAVI continues to reflect the actual state of each market rather than lagging it.

What We Are Looking For

You have at least three years of commercial experience in real estate, proptech, or a closely adjacent field in Southeast Asia. You have closed meaningful deals, not just managed relationships after someone else opened the door. You have existing relationships with developer marketing teams, agency principals, or both, across at least two of our six markets. You know how to sell a vision as well as a product, because RUMAVI is early-stage and the pitch is partly about where we are going.

You are comfortable operating without a large support structure. You can manage your own pipeline, prioritise your own markets, and make judgment calls about which opportunities are worth pursuing without waiting to be told. You are motivated by building something, not maintaining it.

You are fluent in English. Additional languages relevant to SEA markets are a genuine advantage.

What This Is Not

We want to be straightforward about what you are walking into. RUMAVI launched three months ago. The audience is real and growing, but we are not PropertyGuru nor are we trying to be. You will be selling partnerships partly on the strength of what we are building, not just what we have already built. The right person sees that as an opportunity, not a risk. The compensation structure reflects this: a meaningful commission component tied to the revenue you generate, alongside a base that covers you while you build.

If you need an established brand behind you to feel comfortable in a sales conversation, this is not the right role. If you can walk into a developer's office, explain where the international buyer market in Southeast Asia is going and why RUMAVI is positioned to own that conversation, and walk out with a deal, we want to talk to you.

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus commission on partnership revenue generated and equity options. Structure and specifics discussed with shortlisted candidates.

Location

Open. We operate across Southeast Asia and are not prescriptive about where you are based, provided you are in or can operate comfortably across the SEA timezone and have genuine market access in your region.
