About Us

MetaComp Pte Ltd is a leading Singapore-based digital payment solution provider, licensed and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a Major Payment Institution, to provide Digital Payment Token Services and Cross-border Payment Transfers. Operating under a P2B2C (platform-to-business, partners-to-clients) model, MetaComp provides its clients with an integrated end-to-end suite of services, empowering them to confidently enter the digital asset market with much-needed safety, security, and compliance assurance. Together with its parent company, Metaverse Green Exchange Pte. Ltd. (a MAS-licensed CMS holder permitted to carry out, inter alia, brokerage and custody services), MetaComp introduces its suite of services through CAMP (Client Assets Management Platform) which allow businesses to develop and scale their digital asset offerings through various products and/or services such as over-the-counter transactions, fiat payments, digital asset custody and prime brokerage.

Role Overview

The Head of Cards will lead the end-to-end card business at MetaComp, including product strategy, issuer/processor partnerships, scheme relationships, compliance alignment, and commercial performance.

This is a strategic and execution-heavy leadership role responsible for launching, scaling, and optimizing card programs (corporate, prepaid, debit, and potentially digital-asset linked cards), ensuring full alignment with regulatory requirements under MAS frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Card Business Strategy & P&L Ownership

  • Define and execute MetaComp's card strategy across corporate, consumer, and embedded use cases.
  • Own full P&L, including revenue streams (interchange, FX, program fees, lending spreads where applicable).
  • Develop 12–24 month product and growth roadmap.
  • Identify new revenue models including crypto-linked or multi-currency card propositions (where applicable).

2. Scheme & Banking Partnerships

  • Lead and manage relationships with card schemes (e.g. Visa, Mastercard).
  • Work with BIN sponsors, issuing banks, and card processors.
  • Negotiate commercials, scheme incentives, and program structures.
  • Ensure compliance with scheme rules and licensing obligations.

3. Product & Program Development

  • Oversee card lifecycle: issuance, onboarding, KYC alignment, transaction monitoring integration, disputes/chargebacks.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to integrate card rails with wallet, fiat, and digital asset infrastructure.
  • Drive embedded finance opportunities with B2B partners.
  • Ensure strong UX across physical and virtual cards.

4. Regulatory & Risk Alignment

  • Ensure card operations comply with MAS Payment Services Act requirements and relevant Notices/Guidelines.
  • Align with Compliance on AML/CFT, fraud risk, safeguarding, and reporting obligations.
  • Work closely with Risk and Operations to implement transaction monitoring and fraud controls.
  • Manage scheme audits and regulatory inspections (where applicable).

5. Operations & Vendor Management

  • Oversee card operations including reconciliation, settlement, chargebacks, fraud operations, and customer escalations.
  • Manage third-party processors and vendors with defined SLAs and KPIs.
  • Drive cost efficiency and operational scalability.

6. Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing card team (product, operations, partnerships).
  • Establish performance KPIs tied to growth, compliance, and operational resilience.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across Compliance, Finance, Risk, and Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8–12+ years of experience in card issuing, payments, or fintech.
  • Strong understanding of card scheme rules, interchange economics, and program management.
  • Experience working with regulated entities (preferably MAS-regulated MPI environment).
  • Demonstrated experience launching and scaling card programs.
  • Strong commercial acumen with P&L ownership experience.
  • Experience with multi-currency or digital asset-linked card programs is highly advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fintech, digital asset, or embedded finance companies.
  • Exposure to cross-border payments and FX infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with MAS regulatory expectations for safeguarding, operational risk, and technology risk management.
