Job Description

About Us

Our client is a diversified financial services and investment group with over 30 years of history. As our client continues to scale its cross-border platform between both continents, they are looking for an experienced capital markets leader to drive the next phase of fundraising growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead end-to-end fundraising strategy across both the Singapore and Australia markets, structuring and executing debt, equity, and hybrid capital raises to support the Group's mortgage lending, securitisation, funds management, and property investment activities.
  2. Cultivate and manage relationships with institutional investors, private banks, family offices, and capital markets intermediaries across Australia and Asia to expand and diversify our client's investor base.
  3. Structure and lead securitisation and RMBS issuances, working closely with rating agencies, legal counsel, and underwriters to bring transactions to market efficiently and cost-effectively.
  4. Drive cross-border capital solutions, identifying opportunities to channel Asian investment into Australian assets (and vice versa), leveraging our client's dual-market presence and licensed exchange platform.
  5. Partner with senior leadership and internal stakeholders (funds management, property, and corporate finance teams) to align capital raising activity with our client's broader growth strategy, including its expanding data centre and digital infrastructure platform.

Key Requirements

  1. Minimum 10-15 years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, or debt/equity capital raising, with a strong track record of closing transactions in both the Singapore and Australian markets.
  2. Deep expertise in securitisation and structured finance (RMBS or similar asset-backed instruments), including experience working with credit rating agencies.
  3. Established network of institutional investors, private banks, and capital markets counterparties across APAC, with the credibility to originate and lead senior-level relationships.
  4. Strong understanding of regulatory and licensing frameworks governing capital markets activity in both Singapore (MAS) and Australia (ASIC).
  5. Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively across Sydney and Singapore time zones and business cultures, ideally with prior experience in a group structure spanning funds management, real estate, or diversified financial services.
