Job Description

This is a specialist role within UOB's Group Business Continuity Management (BCM) function. Reporting to the Group BCM Head, the incumbent will support and facilitate the implementation of the business continuity programme across the Banking Group, enhancing operational resilience and ensuring continuity of essential business operations and services in the event of a crisis.

Business Continuity Programme Management

  • Manage the implementation of end-to-end business continuity initiatives for the Group.
  • Conduct risk assessments, business impact analyses (BIA), business continuity planning (BCP), and crisis management planning.
  • Coordinate and execute BCM tests and exercises to validate plans and ensure operational readiness.

Stakeholder Engagement & Training

  • Strengthen BCM awareness across all levels through workshops, training, and advisory support.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and overseas subsidiaries/branches to align BCM practices and enhance resilience.
  • Serve as a key point of contact during crisis invocation, coordinating recovery resources and facilitating response activities.

Regulatory Compliance & Best Practices

  • Ensure compliance with Bank and regulatory BCM policies and guidelines, particularly in Singapore.
  • Integrate industry and regulatory BCM best practices to improve Group-wide operational resilience.
  • Support external audits, controls testing, and risk governance assessments related to business continuity.

System & Operational Readiness

  • Manage and maintain BCM online systems, tools, and platforms.
  • Support operational readiness of recovery facilities, command centres, and critical resources.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of systems to support BCM activities.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Recognized university degree in relevant fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Continuity, Resilience, and Crisis Management, preferably within the financial sector.
  • Sound understanding of banking products and services.
  • Familiarity with BCM regulatory requirements, particularly in Singapore.
  • Professionally accredited BCM practitioner (e.g., BCI, DRI) is an advantage.
  • Experience with project management, banking technology, and external audit/risk governance is a plus.
