Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Live Nation is launching a new, purpose-built mid-size live music venue in Singapore with a capacity of 3,000. Designed to host both international touring acts and local artists, the venue will also feature secondary spaces including a café and bar.

We're searching for a Head of Bookings & Programming who thrives in the fast-paced world of live music and entertainment. The ideal candidate will bring strong industry networks, negotiation skills, and commercial acumen to secure a robust pipeline of concerts and events that maximise venue utilisation and revenue.

Starting during the mobilisation phase, this role will establish booking systems and processes, build relationships with promoters and agents, and prepare the venue calendar ahead of opening.

The Head of Bookings & Programming will lead the booking team, negotiate major contracts, and ensure the venue is consistently active, relevant, and profitable.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Head of Bookings & Programming will play a pivotal role in shaping the venue's reputation and ensuring a robust pipeline of events from launch onwards.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Bookings & Contract Management

  • Lead the booking team and oversee diary management.
  • Negotiate contracts with agents, promoters, and event owners to secure concerts and events.
  • Manage enquiries and convert them into confirmed bookings.
  • Ensure contracts, invoicing, and settlements are handled accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain transparent communication with event organisers throughout the booking process.

Programming

  • Curate a balanced calendar that reflects both commercial headliners and culturally significant acts.
  • Identify opportunities across grassroots, regional, and international touring artists to diversify programming.
  • Design strategies that balance cultural value with commercial viability, positioning the venue as a leading live music destination.

Industry Relationships (Event-Facing)

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with promoters, agents, and event hirers to ensure a steady flow of events.
  • Act as the primary industry contact for event organisers, touring artists, and promoters.
  • Provide market insights from agents/promoters to support wider commercial strategy.

Operational Alignment

  • Collaborate with Operations and Technical teams to ensure bookings align with venue capabilities.
  • Provide event organisers with detailed information on production and technical resources.
  • Oversee scheduling to ensure smooth event flow and optimal utilisation of the venue.

Mobilisation Phase

  • Establish booking systems, processes, and workflows ahead of launch.
  • Build initial industry relationships and secure early bookings to populate the launch calendar.
  • Work with internal teams to prepare promotional materials and communications related to programming.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts Management, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in bookings, programming, or business development within live entertainment or cultural venues, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record in sales, revenue generation, contract negotiation, and securing bookings.
  • Established industry network with promoters, agents, and event organisers (local and international).
  • Skilled in managing venue calendars, booking systems, CRM/client databases, and financial processes (contracts, invoicing, settlements). Momentus Elite experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecast revenues, and deliver against financial targets.
  • Excellent communication in English; Chinese proficiency will be an advantage to effectively manage Chinese-speaking clients, artists, and promoters.
  • High IT literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and booking software.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation, multitasking, and stakeholder management skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about live music and cultural events.
  • Flexible to travel and work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
