Redstone Commodity Search are working with a well-established trading business looking to hire a Head of Base Metals to join their team.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Build and lead the base metals trading desk, developing the strategy, market coverage and trading activities from the ground up.
- Originate and execute physical base metals transactions, identifying new opportunities across suppliers, customers and markets.
- Develop and manage the P&L, taking full commercial ownership of trading performance and growing the business.
- Build a team and network over time, with the autonomy to operate independently initially and recruit additional traders and support staff as the business develops.
- Role reports directly to the CEO.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 10+ years of experience in physical base metals trading.
- Proven ability to generate and manage significant P&L, with a strong entrepreneurial and commercial mindset.
- Strong experience across origination, trading and sales, with an established network of counterparties.
- Experience building or developing a trading business/desk is highly desirable.
- Located in Singapore.
