What you'll actually build
You'll own the AI and digital transformation roadmap end-to-end. The substance:
- Route optimisation on a real fleet, picking up real drums of oil, in real cities — fewer kilometres, more litres, better margins.
- Forecasting and predictive maintenance on processing plants — fewer breakdowns, more uptime, more throughput.
- Real-time operational dashboards for the MD, the ops leads, and the board.
- ERP / CRM integration across finance, ops, sales, and sustainability — one source of truth, not eight.
- Traceability and sustainability data that satisfies CORSIA, RefuelEU, ISCC, and whatever's coming next — automated, audit-ready, defensible.
- The AI layer on top of everything — forecasting, anomaly detection, decision support — wherever it earns its keep.
- A small, sharp team and a stack of vendors you'll hire, scope, and hold to delivery.
You won't do it all alone. But you'll lead it, sequence it, and own the outcome.
Why this is a genuinely interesting seat
Most Head of Digital roles are clean-up jobs at companies that have already let four consultancies have a go. This one isn't.
- Greenfield. No legacy enterprise estate to defend. You pick the stack.
- Real-world AI. Physical assets, real money on the line, real regulators reading the output. Not a chatbot.
- Board visibility from day one. Our 2026–2028 AI roadmap is a board-level program. You're the person executing it, not the one presenting it to.
- Lean team, fast decisions. No seven layers of governance. No 14-week procurement cycles for a SaaS tool.
- Direct line to the MD. You're not the third Head of Digital under a CIO. You're the one making the call.
- Right place, right decade. Singapore as the SAF supply-chain hub for Asia, with the regulatory tailwind (CORSIA, RefuelEU, MAS green finance) at our back.
If you've spent the last decade digitising messy, physical operations and have been waiting for a mandate that matches your ambition — this is that.
Who we think you are
You don't need to tick every box. We care about shape, not pedigree.
- 7–15 years building real digital and AI solutions inside operational, industrial, logistics, or commodities businesses.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or something adjacent — though what you've shipped matters more than where you studied.
- Hands-on. You can scope a system, evaluate a vendor, write a SQL query, read enough Python to know whether the model is doing what it claims, and call BS on a slide.
- Comfortable in SME / operational reality. Finite budgets, lean teams, real-world constraints, occasionally messy data.
- Strong instincts across AI, automation, data analytics, ERP, and BI.
- Commercially literate. You don't build technology for its own sake — you build what earns its keep.
- A clean communicator who can hold a room of operators, a room of engineers, and a room of board members in the same week.
Bonus, not required: biofuels, recycling, commodities, logistics, manufacturing, or any industry where the digital problem is gloriously physical.
