Overview
We are a travel company undergoing a comprehensive technology transformation, replacing legacy systems with an integrated, AI-powered platform spanning POS, operations, planning, and back-office functions. We seek an experienced IT Head to lead this transition, oversee daily IT operations, and ensure our technology stack drives efficiency, cost reduction, and enhanced productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Integration & Transformation
Lead the end-to-end implementation of a new integrated system covering POS, operations, planning, and back-office suites.
Manage migration from legacy systems to modern, cloud-based solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to design, customize, and deploy AI-driven tools for automation and analytics.
IT Operations & Infrastructure
Oversee network security, data backups, disaster recovery, and compliance with industry standards.
Manage hardware, software, and cloud resources to support scalable growth and operational resilience.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff, ensuring swift resolution of issues impacting customer-facing or internal processes.
AI & Innovation
Identify opportunities to leverage AI for cost reduction, predictive analytics, and process automation (e.g., dynamic pricing, inventory management, customer service chatbots).
Implement tools for real-time data sync between departments, enabling seamless coordination between sales, inventory, and financial systems.
Team Leadership & Strategy
Develop and execute an IT roadmap aligned with business goals, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
Mentor and manage IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Partner with executive leadership to communicate IT initiatives, risks, and outcomes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Master's or certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, AWS) a plus.
10 to 15 years of IT management experience, preferably in travel, hospitality, or retail sectors.
Proven track record in managing large-scale system migrations and integrated POS deployments.
Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), databases, APIs, and security protocols.
Familiarity with AI tools and their practical applications in business automation.
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
