Tookitaki is scaling rapidly across global financial institutions, with cloud infrastructure at the core of our product delivery, reliability, and regulatory posture. As we scale, cloud efficiency, cost discipline, and architectural rigor become as critical as uptime and security.

The Head of Cloud Infrastructure will not only own the design and reliability of Tookitakiʼs cloud platforms, but will also lead a fundamental shift in how cloud spend is planned, governed, optimized, and linked to business outcomes. This role is expected to balance performance, resilience, and compliance while materially improving cost efficiency, spend predictability, and infrastructure ROI. This is a senior leadership role with direct impact on operating margins, gross efficiency, and long-term scalability of the business.

Position Purpose

The Head of Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for defining and executing TookiTakiʼs cloud strategy across all products and regions. The role ensures the infrastructure is:

. Highly available, secure, and compliant for regulated financial services clients
. Architecturally efficient and scalable, supporting rapid product and customer growth
. Financially disciplined, with strong controls, governance, and optimization embedded into cloud operations Beyond technology excellence, this role is expected to drive structural improvements in cloud cost management, ensuring that infrastructure choices directly support sustainable growth, predictable spend, and improved company-level financial metrics.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Architecture, Reliability & Scalability
○ Lead the end-to-end architecture, deployment, and operational management of TookiTakiʼs cloud infrastructure across products and regions.
○ Ensure high availability, resilience, scalability, and security of all cloud platforms supporting mission-critical workloads.
○ Define and enforce architectural standards that balance performance, fault tolerance, and long-term maintainability.
○ Continuously improve automation, observability, and reliability engineering practices.

2. Cloud Financial Governance & Cost Optimization
○ Own cloud cost management as a first-class leadership responsibility, not a side activity. ○ Design and implement strong cloud financial governance frameworks, including budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, and spend accountability.
○ Partner closely with Finance, Engineering, and Product leaders to align cloud consumption with business priorities and growth plans.
○ Drive sustained improvements in cloud efficiency by: i. Optimizing architecture, workloads, and resource utilization ii. iii. Reducing waste, over-provisioning, and non-strategic spend Embedding cost-aware engineering practices into teams
○ Establish clear visibility into cloud cost drivers and ensure infrastructure decisions have a measurable and positive impact on company financial metrics.
○ Proactively identify and mitigate structural cost risks as the platform scales globally.

3. Financial and Resource Optimization
○ Oversee cloud infrastructure costs, implementing cost-efficient strategies without compromising performance.
○ Drive resource allocation strategies to ensure cloud efficiency and sustainability.
○ Analyze cloud spending trends and identify areas for cost savings.

4. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence
○ Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing cloud engineering team with strong ownership and accountability.
○ Set clear expectations around operational excellence, cost discipline, and engineering rigor.
○ Work closely with Product, Development, Security, Compliance, and Customer Success teams to ensure infrastructure supports business goals end-to-end.
○ Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on cloud strategy, trade-offs, and investment decisions.

5. Automation, DevOps & Operational Excellence
○ Drive infrastructure automation across provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and incident response.
○ Lead CI/CD and DevOps best practices to improve deployment velocity, reliability, and repeatability.
○ Strengthen system observability, incident management, and root-cause analysis to minimize business impact.
○ Ensure infrastructure practices scale cleanly without exponential increases in cost or complexity.

Key OKRs

1. Ensure 99.99% uptime for all cloud infrastructure supporting Tookitakiʼs products.
2. Reduce cloud infrastructure costs by 25% through optimization and resource allocation. 3. Implement 100% automated cloud infrastructure monitoring and alerting.
4. Improve deployment efficiency by reducing release cycle time by 40%.

Qualifications and Skills

. Bachelorʼs or Masterʼs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
. Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).

Experience

. 12 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
. Proven experience in managing cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization in a B2B SaaS or global financial services environment.
. Experience in rolling out and managing infrastructure for counter-fraud systems or payment platforms is essential.

Technical Expertise

. Strong expertise in cloud services AWS, Azure, GCP and infrastructure as code Terraform, CloudFormation).
. Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools Docker, Kubernetes).
. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, and cloud-native technologies.
. Proven ability to create and execute strategies that balance high availability with cost optimization.
